The Gathering of Ill Conceived Destruction

hmm... I prefer to stay away from stuff that uses any form of Mind Control or Thought Control, because I don't know how to work with it....

A metallic backpack that stands at 3 feet when placed on the ground. It straps tightly to its users back, and two malleable tubes come out of it and follow down to the users wrists. At the wrists the tubes are held in place by a strap, and covered by a strange silvery cork. When activated, the silvery cork flows into a pre-determined shape designated by a dial on either side of the backpack. Upon forming up, the semi-liquid substance swiftly hardens and forms a useful melee style weapon or shield until the command to "return to storage" is given. Backpack dials consist of an "on/off" old television style tuner, and a small slot underneath. Into this slot, you can remove or enter specially designed "schematics" that decide what form the substance forms into when in an active state. Currently known schematics include Spears, Swords, Shields, and many other "melee" forms of equipment. To date it has been impossible to program anything which causes a loss of mass in the liquidized metal.

Plasma Chakram
A first it appears to be a hand held metal disc with groves in the middle of the ring with a handle in the middle, but when a button on the handle is pressed, plasma emits from the groves (after a few seconds), making it a deadly weapon

by "Grooves in the middle of the ring" am I to assume the same grooves as in the picture you supplied? The one that runs down the "Handle"?

 

No, I couldn't find a exact example of it, the groves are on the outside of the ring, and it is bigger in real life.

 

the blade-ring or the handle-ring?
IF its the blade-ring, this is a melee weapon with a plasma-edge.
IF its the handle-ring this is a melee weapon with a plasma-blade.

 

the groves that shoot out plasma are on the blade-ring, and it is a throwing weapon, and I have a idea for the bruiser's backpack, you feed weapons to it, you don't get any weapons for it at first(unless you put a item into it in the crafting), but then you give a item to it and you may then use that weapon with it.

 

Bruisers Backpack :: fine as is >> the schematics system is easy enough to work with.
Plasma Chakram >> I don't really want to make this thing in plasma. To hold it your hands going to have to be on that blade, and Plasma is hot with a capital "HOT". Even with it activating " a few seconds after pushing the button" this thing just seems too self-destructive towards its user. I could work with it in laser if you wanted, but not Plasma.

 

That's ok, I just wanted for it to be plasma because of the fact that alot of stuff is laser and phase, and how far end game is the bruiser's back pack?

 

I haven't decided. Does it really matter?
Weapons can appear wherever. They balance themselves out with the whole "Medieval" theme that prevents long-range destruction.
Aside from the flashlight. That one is endgame as fuck.
but the rest of them have the flaw of range and weight (if that is a dynamic statistic that affects gameplay) to balance them out.
In order to effectively use any of the melee weaponry... you have to get close enough for them to eat your face.

 

I submitted this to murumasa for the video. I hope he does it, this thing needs attention for it to grow, I think we need to try and spread the word without going to a random thread and posting the link, maybe asking people if they would like to add their idea to it?
