• For my extendable tazer knife, you need phase wire, a hilt, and 3 blades.

Here is how I am defining them roughly right now (swords).
Laser :: using a focusing array of some sort, light is hyper-amplified to the point where it is intense enough to actually burn shit at a certain range. Makes Clean Cuts and cauterizes wounds with no fire.
Electricity :: Self explanatory.
Metal :: Classic.
Plasma :: Basically a fire-based weapon. Air in a certain "Cone/Cylinder" past the handle of the weapon is superheated. (from what I know it goes Solid > Liquid > Gas >> Plasma ). The Plasma is contained by the "heat field", as natural conditions can't support it, causing it to "fall" in globs and quickly evaporate back into gases, leaving a smell of ozone. This is brutally solid fire. Attacking someone with a plasma weapon will definitely cauterize their wound like with a laser, but it also brutally tears resulting in uneven cleaving and the side effect of leaving the areas cut on fire. . Also looks kind of cool, often consisting of a solid-Neon color (generally white), surrounded by an affect similar to an aura of fire coming straight off of it (past the edge of the containment field). Makes for a blade that looks like it comes from a fantasy game- but performs a bit more... brutally.

right.. unless someone tells me "crafting materials are uber necessary now" its really a secondary concern, I was kinda just making you guys sweat
also- I don't do the whole "phase" thing mainly because I can't understand it, and therefore can't represent it properly >_>

 

Your idea of plasma blades reminds me of the Fire attacks of Zero from Megaman.
Yeah those were really cool, too. Err... really hot.

Did you ask just out of curiosity or are you using the info for writing or pixel art or something?

mainly because I'm in charge of the Original Post, and all the weapons go up there.
As such, I'm in charge of the final product and I'd like to make it something both the suggester and I can be happy with having up there.
also, because I just enjoy writing this stuff I guess.

don't make the mistake- I'm not working on it 24/7, that would be a huge mistake. I would end up hating it.

Seeing how descriptive you were with plasma it sounds like you are silently begging me to say plasma.
But really I don't care either way, I guess.

 

I would have been descriptive with laser...
but laser is laser... it has been defined over and over again.

on the other hand, all I know about Plasma is that it is the next step up past Gas. and that allows me to dream.
I'll probably do your Scythe in laser though, since thats what the image you provided seems more like to me.

Mourning guys, came up with a idea,
I was thinking about what other people on the forums would want in this and I noticed the some people have monk in their name, and I realized we need a electrical quarterstaff,
sorta like the ones in star wars.

two-handed, and people can be space monks, maybe can be obtained from a quest for some space monastery, but can still be crafted(but you don't get a free one, and you don't get money).

Ingredients: 2 Power Batteries, 2 Electric Emitters, 8 Basic Ores, 2 Rubber Grips.

Ok i'm thinking of 2 gauntlets and tubes coming out into a tank on the back, the tank holds a liquified metal that can be shaped into different weapons by thought, the material would come out of the palm of the gauntlet. The modes would be switched by hot keys on the keyboard.
