Well at least it's promising. Tomorrow can of course mean down the road... but it's better than them having their thumbs up their asses.

On Febuary 6th i found somewhere on tiy's twitter saying 17 day's until star bound was released and being that on the 23rd of febuary could it be and being the day the 21st
and saying there going to release somthing my hope's are very high *please excuse me for typing my computer is really laggy*

I don't think so - too many lurkers is watching Tiy's Twitter (including me ) - that amazing news would spread in the forum with speed of light.

 

Lets face it. When you delay a game almost a year and choose to not release an open beta when you could, something's wrong. You're telling the community that you really don't care anymore, which is what I'm starting to see. They should make getting the game released a priority and not things like painting.

This game's hopeless until they get things together.

 

The biggest problem with all that is that we've seen progress. We've seen game play and we've seen screen shots.

 

We've been seeing progress for over a year now, and to be honest it all looks identical.

 

When you're creating something like this progress tends to be slow. I know this from experience.

 

I couldn't disagree more. Of course, they COULD just release it now, but they're perfectionists. I feel like it shows even MORE determination. Starbound is FAR from abandonment. Now, I don't agree with the way they are keeping everything secret, however they certainly do care.

 

Yeah, many people here is really disappointed. This what mostly scares me is Tiy mentioned about really great working NPC behavior - but in livestreams we only saw dumb monsters who blindly attacks player. Tiy in IRC told when they testing NPCs behavior, they must test it one by one. That mean when they testing now only one kind of attack now - so monster will attack only. Oookey. But why don't show something more complex behavior? Sometimes I'm afraid that game is not in so advance stage as devs suggesting us.

We may only hope that won't be vaporware, you know? I really hope it.

 

Again, I honestly think that they're just holding everything under wraps. I don't know why, it's a stupid move, but that's what they're doing.

And it BETTER not be Vaporware...

Me too. I understand that they didn't expect so much attention, but come on, why they didn't show us what they doing? We only get info like "we are now in awesome stage where all tech is done". What kind of tech? They mean game mechanic? Player equipable abilities? Something else? "Awesome stage"? Aaaargh

I don't know, maybe they want to tease us - but there is many people who don't like PR tricks like this
