Good point. I recall the anchored pirate ships I've seen, borded, cleared. Where can I get one of these for my ship?!
Because your CPU might want to go on strike then x). These flying MERCHANT ships are litteraly creeping with NPCs !
At what times and what days do you release patches? And when is this wipe going to happen. My friends don't want to play if their characters will be gone
While reading this list i was thinking: "Wow that looks like a lot of work". I'm wondering how long you need to implement all of this great stuff. Probably gonna take a while
A lot of these are much needed changes. Would it be possible to change the navigation process? The warpjump before choosing your destination is anoying imo. That said, awesome game! My friends and i are having a blast! Keep up the good work!
What if you took a combination of both of these perspectives. Past a certain point one might say that the part of the ship you teleport to and pilot would be the "cockpit" or the bridge of the ship, and through a door you might find the rest of the ship as it is added on to, but all of the additions might take up one large and ever growing area, allowing both the streamlined ftl travel appearance, as well as decks for the battles to take place over. That seems like the best of both worlds does it not? Then a boarding battle might be a battle to work your way to the bridge of the enemy ship, or defending your own ship from enemies who seek to make their way to the bridge. Of course one would need to make it visually pleasing as well so it does not appear you are flying a tiny ship with a TARDIS buried somewhere inside, but perhaps the additions would be built out to the left of the screen as if you are in the nose or tip of the ever growing ship.
Really looking foward to the future. I can't wait till they add the selling feature to merchants. Especially since the merchants say that they'll buy things from me. Binding would be helpful too
There is an item missing from this list: Optimization and improved performance. Seriously, this game suffers from so many frame rate problems that it is virtually unplayable, even on decent gaming computers such as mine.
Mine gets a bit slow, but it's not unplayable. I feel bad for you son, I got 9- no, I'm not doing that. I'm sure that optimization is very important to them, but this was a list of features to be added later that weren't obvious necessities.
But optimization is on the list, at the bottom. o.o "Other Changes: Colorblind Mode & Engine Optimization. FTL animation being revamped to reduce memory strain" Optimization is of course important though, but as with many things it takes a back seat to development for a time before coming up to the forefront, as constantly worrying with optimization would slow down the development stage, but it is in the list and they are working on it.
Seems like a very nice future for the game so far. But I have a question: What about map making? I have a thread about this, if anyone else is interested.
