Ironically there is a deathstar already in game, if you count an underground base hologram console that is. Thanks for asking, I have been wondering that myself since it came out.
I have a suggestion, could you make it so when you are in a battling creatures with an ally Ai it doesn't do damage to the ally if you accidentally hit him.
no i think he meant servers, because if you have ever played Minecraft or some other games they have walk in teleporters to other servers.
just in case anybody hasn't seen them, here's the link to the offended koala patch notes http://steamcommunity.com/app/211820/discussions/0/630799997471975820/ but you can see them by scrolling down in the launcher window aswell
but the game has melee... in fact its all melee (other than bow) until like the third systems i think what made you think there was no melee combat?!
No, think of it as a bunch of circles encompassing each other, your home starts somewhere in the first circle and as you travel further and further from that center part the planets will be a higher and higher level, each sector will still probably be fairly large if not just as large as they are now, but rather then being somewhat immersion breaking of having Alpha and Delta maps never collide, it will be like a small circle ontop of a larger circle onto of a larger one untill you get 9 circles and then the final tier of everything outside those nine circles, you will know when your entering a territory that is above your current gear when you run into a fog wall on your map because odds are the "Sector upgrades" that you make to unlock the next tier will just extend the fog to the next tiers edge, so now when you hit random it will pick a random location somewhere in your tiers content or below, so even if your on the 7th tier of planets random may pull up a planet back near your starting planet of a tier 1 planet.
I didn't say there wasn't any melee. I said I'm not even concerned about finding it. I'm concerned about the melee mechanics. Atm they're very rudimentary and I was wondering if the devs had plans to improve them. (AKA Parrying, Heavy attacks, Counter attacks, etc.)
Just a tiny update but the patch notes (I forgot which) did say that they've implemented a stance system which would open up a possibility for different melee weapon stances or something that would affect how the weapons work. I might have exaggerated this a bit but I'm pretty sure improvements on melee combat is in the works. How much though I can't tell. Meanwhile, we'll be getting some advanced Wiring Mechanics out pretty soon (Tiy hinted at this on twitter with pics).
As someone who hasn't long bought the game - which is great btw - this list makes me very excited, hopefully some get released soon.
Interesting.Since the first time i´ve played this, the games gets even deeper. And now all these promises.I cannot simply wait to see the end of this.I dont care the time it will take.It will simply be amazing.Keep the good work.
Hmmm. Well that's a step in the right direction. I am going to wait until I'm sure of the melee before buying, but thank you for the news!
Well we know they are going to make weapons aimable so things no longer only have single attack directions, Omni was tinkering with the code in a stream a while back, they also mentioned plans for weapons to have multiple swing types, and adding a lot more diversity to weapon types eventually. For being hopeful though I really would love to see stances used, I can think of possible outcomes for every weapon type, for instance a sniper stance might make snipers stronger at the cost of movement speed. A dual wielder stance might sacrifice some defense for offense, a shield stance might sacrifice offense for defense, ect... I am sure you get the idea for possibilities, and I am sure Tiy and the others could far outdo anything I can imagine off the top of my head. I'd love to see armor sets to reflect this as well perhaps in the future.
Star-gates between planets? Great! Servers? Thats just incredible. I hope there is a good design for this aswell. I also hope at one point there is some work put into vehicles, though I know that comes near the end not now so ofcourse, no rush.
