If you guys manage to implement everything in this to do list, I couldn't ask for more. My only concern at the moment was that it would never get to the point where we could make practical use of all the technology that you'd expect of a FTL capable race, like terraforming, orbital bombardment (maybe you could let us "Death Star" bust worlds that really annoyed us? :>) and surface scanning to name but a few, but seeing that all that is in the pipeline, yeah I'm real pleased
Love all the upcoming changes. This one: "Smoother Difficulty Curve: Better indication of the difficulty of an area. Difficulty will change within tiers as well as between tiers. There will be fractional difficulty (for example, Difficulty 1.12 in tier 1 would be easier than Difficulty 1.52, while still in T1)" we need it as soon as posible, because right now there is no incentive to explore more than 1-2 planets in the same tier, in the first "beta released" i explored more than 10+ planets each tier given the lvl dificulty right now we only need 1 planet, 2-3 if you feel like looking for something particular(avian ship or town)
When you say : Reduced Wipes: Working on a system to patch without requiring as many character wipes in the future. This will require one more wipe and that’s it. "that's it." ?? as in....... for good?

"Controls: Reconfigure controls; keybinding." -> Can't wait, I'm left-handed and it's always a pain for me to play with qsdz/asdw "Tech Priority: Eventually all techs can be active at once" -> Is this already the case ? I can't seem to double jump and dash at the same time, maybe I did something wrong. Anyways, very good list, I'm looking forward to those changes, Thankee guys, you're the best !
instead of race armour traits, do you think you could make it a passive tech that the race starts with?
I don't really mind that racial armor sets have the abilities rather than the race itself... I mean, you'd still have to find the blueprints for another race's armor anyway if you're playing single player. If you're playing with friends there's nothing (currently) stopping them from just giving you the best armor in the game anyway if they're able to - that's both the perk and the drawback to playing multiplayer though. But I'm really looking forward to these updates, overall! Thanks so much for all your hard work, guys
These seem very good changes/additions to the game. My feedback: 1. In order to make this game have great replayability, you should really, really focus on the ENDGAME more than anything else. If people will get bored of the game after going through all the tiers, other people will definitely not look forward to buying it. Players should have a lot of reasons to play the endgame for, reasons that shouldn't ever get boring. I think this should be the first priority that should be focused on. 2. I've seen a lot of threads going about how to make combat fun, with different suggestions that I didn't agree with. I think combat should be based on abilities. There should be a lot of abilities in this game. That should make the combat exciting and never dull. The way to avoid ranged weapons should also be dealt with using abilities. 3. Another point I'd like to make is about tiers and bosses. I don't like the idea of unlocking other higher difficulty planets. It seems restrictive. I think you should have planets of various levels everywhere. If you want to conceil some cool things you'll get to see on planets once you are on higher tier, then just make an impediment for you to reach those kind of planets, based on realistic reasons (unbreathable air, toxic air etc.). But I think it'd be nice to have the majority of difficulties unlocked from the beginning, even if when I'd go there I would be killed instantly. That's all I can think of as far as feedback now.
"Engine Optimization" So, does that mean, for the most part, villages and dungeons won't lag my computer? It's a pretty decent machine, but so far all I've found in terms of issues running Starbound is the game crashing [when not in safemode] when I try to fly my ship to another planet, and it lags when in villages or dungeons. Sorta annoying when in an Apex test chamber and you keep dying on the tesla spikes because it's hard to move the character from the frame drop.
That's sound very great ! But I have some questions/remarks : Will the stargates be movables ? I'll really like to build my one base like the Stargate's Cheyenne Mountain. Will the ship move with you when you go through a gate ? I hope not, I think it would be to easy to always have a ship support. I feel it's to easy to go back to my ship anywhere. Can you make the teleporter only active in your spawn area ? I feel it's quite easy to just quit the game to go back to your ship when your deep underground. May be it's would be better if you add a death penalty when you quit the game in a none safe area. Airless and toxic planets sound great but a spacesuit may be available in tier 2 (the sooner, the better). This suit may slow you down and only have a limited respiration system (few minutes of oxygen). Better spacesuit may be available later. Here some ideas of improvement : Can you had a hot bar, I feel stupid when I walk in desert with a complete snow infantry suit. That would work in deep underground to. Can you had a better sale system, actually you can only buy stuff, it could be interesting to buy some rare items in a planet and sell it in an other one like in 'Freelancer'. An exchange system between player would be interesting to. I think the 'home' system is too light in an infinite universe. A list of planets would be better, you could add/remove a planet from coordinates (and the one where you are), rename them (name one 'home' for example), order them (put the home planet first) and maybe add some personal informations.
I could imagine having a mirror like the one in Stargate, so every server would be like a parallel dimension.

So I have a few questions....will the planet modification have a little "are you sure" box pop up? I don't want to have an "OH NOOOOO!" moment as accidentally bombard my own city, also any chance grass and trees can be replanted or grow back? That's about it, really excited for things to come!
You guys at Chucklefish have set a new standard in game creation. It is hard to find a dull moment when playing this game. Seeing how you have so much more to put in astonishes me. I simply cannot fathom the list of items you wish to add in. I will look forward to playing you're game in future months to come. I will give as much feedback as I can to help.
