    Another decent feature would be ability to melt(sacrifice) certain amounts of unwanted equipment to receive something new (put in 10 or so common things to receive an uncommon of the same type, 7 uncommons.. etc) :p

    I'll repost my thoughts from Reddit here.

    I would assume you can only have one "push F to activate" tech and one "push Jump in midair to activate" tech equipped at a time. That would cut down on the conflicts quite handily. For my suggestion I'll group all our current techs into categories.

    Freemove Techs
    - Pulse Jump
    - Energy Dash
    - Rocket Jump

    Flight Techs (Jump in midair to activate)
    - Bubble Boost
    - Butterfly Boost
    - Gravity Neutralizer
    - Gravity Bubble

    Trigger Techs (hit F to trigger)
    - Human Mech
    - Morph Ball
    - Random Blink
    - Targeted Blink

    The Freemove Techs don't conflict with anything and are actually rolled into the Ultratech mod on the forums. The Flight Techs would all conflict and I suggest you should only allow one of them to be equipped at any time, and your proposed priority script should set them to trigger after Pulse Jump if it's equipped. The Trigger Techs are all special cases. Blink is compatible with Flight and Freemove Techs, but the Mech and Morphball are not, so they should disable all other techs while active. Perhaps more advanced versions of the Mech could have Freemove Techs built in.

    Soooo...it sounds like its an Ability to nuke the Planet. I think i would build myself a evil mastermind Charackter up to just nuke every planet in every Sector.
    And from the Ashes a new Empire shall rise, with like Braindead People and Tech-modified Monsters.


    But seriously, the ideas sound awesome. If this is going to make it in the Game, i have no doubt that this game will really be the GOTY 2014/2015 maybe.

    So basically bringing back something similar to the original 100 levels, just without there being 100 tiers of gear?

    I hope so, I enjoyed having level 5 gear with a level 3 weapon playing around on a level 7 planet every once in a while just to see how long I could survive, and I found the reduction in planet levels per sector from 10 down to 1 and no way to tell which planet might still be challenging or not since there was no indication between a easy "level 1" planet and a hard "level 1" planet, so it took away that since of progression throughout the tier as you worked towards getting good enough gear to take down that first sector boss, after the levels got reduced from 100 down to 10 and the first sector only having level 1 planets there was no need to explore tougher and tougher planets to get better and better gear to take down the first boss, because that got removed and so exploring planets for better loot was just shooting in the dark since they where all labeled level 1.

    Only question is, will the spawn point have to be above ground, or will you be able to set your spawn point outside some cool pre generated temple that you found 3/4ths the way towards the planets core?, Even if it is surface only that's still much of an improvement, or would it be surface only yet have B2 be able to teleport you from your surface spawn location to that underground temple if you set a teleporter near your spawn point and a second one down in the temple?

    Thank you, I was kind of wondering if ship upgrades would be put in eventually, modding my ship larger to be able to organize all my different crap on the default ship got to be a cluster **** even just 1/2 way through the first tier, let alone into the 2nd and 3rd tiers.

    A very nice list, so far only major disapointment so far is the whole low-tech vibe, I took intrest in Starbound because it was a sci-fi sandbox, where I thought ya start with a nano multitool and a blaster pistol and go from there.

    Right now? Strip away space travel and tell me whats sci-fi about the first hour of Starbound?

    I just want to say that the Starbound development team is a team we need, but not one we deserve...

    Can't wait to see how this turns out and would like to make some suggestions...but will do so later.

    This part is rather confusing on my part.

    Does this mean that earlier sectors like Alpha, Beta, and such only have a finite space?

    If so, that really makes things too tight and limited. I like the fact that I can go around Alpha and Beta, use resources, without the thought of bumping into someone else by mistake and starting a war.

    I prefer the system how it is now. We're able to pick more monster "friendly" homes compared to our armor without worry about reaching an edge.

    List is nice, but I still want to see the ability to lock my chests in the ship and some block protection for player-made structures.

    Might I also suggest adding birds that use melee attacks; eg - swooping down to attack the player. Just like how not all land mobs use ranged attacks I think not all birds should use ranged attacks too.

    If this has already been mentioned then I apologize in advance; I didn't read all of the posts in the thread.

    Something bothers me, there's a forum with a lot of suggestions and talks about what could be improved/fixed and the source for this news is reddit?
