Feedback The E.A.S.E.L is crap

I was hoping this would get an overhaul for 1.0 but looks like it's exactly the same as before... i.e it's crap.

It's a pain in the arse to use and the "Set the colour of light this sign will give off" button does absolutely nothing. Also it is beyond tedious having to teleport to your ship just to test the sign out to see it it looks alright - or even worse, having to teleport to a planet if you don't have the room on your ship AND if you have several signs in your inventory not knowing what any of them are without placing them down somewhere and making mental notes which one is which.

It's crap and it needs updating to something actually functional instead of a waste of space.

 

I don't think it's utterly unusable, but I agree with you that it has serious problems. A square of color next to the Light Color button (or maybe coloring the button itself) would make it easier to use. I'm not sure how to help the problem with needing to warp back and forth to your ship.

 

Can't f'king scan signs I've made to continue using the same red colour either - with an absence of RGB values there's no hope. Dumb and crap.

 

Posted this issue in the support sub-forum and got someone to test it thoroughly, and it looks like an oversight on the programmer side. You can scan and link signs together that are *not* "wirable", but not wirable ones. Until they fix it, which they likely will, just work on your signs without making them wirable and once they are all done, scan them each and toggle the wire on.
Believe me it is annoying lol, but what can you do, it's a mistake but they likely know about it by now.

 

This took an unbelievably long time of trail and error and hair pulling frustration (they're all wired and light up when the door is opened).
