the dumb problem with epp augments

    first of all let me say i really like epp augments for the most part they add some more depth to the game which is always nice, buttttt i didn't come here just to praise them they have a lot of problems. First of all why cant i remove them once they're one? they look like nothing more than a flash drive so why can i take it off, secondly how come when i upgrade my epp it deletes the augment that i had? that is so annoying and it really makes it to where i just dont want to use them until i get the final epp because the old one will just get deleted and disappear forever, hows that fun? thirdly i can understand why you cant have more than one augment that would get quite op but how come when i put a new one it cant put the old one into my inventory? instead it just deletes what if i wanted to test my augments and see which one i liked more but instead it just disappears into the mist. anyways sorry for the rant and if there is some way to take them off please tell me

    It deletes it because it creates an entirely new item when you upgrade - the data doesnt carry over. Think of augments like gems or what have you from other games - they are meant to be one time use and you are meant to keep an eye out for and horde them.

    Only having one augment at a time has a simple solution - make several maxed EPP's and slot them with the augments you find most useful and equip whichever one suits you at the moment - works just fine =)

    Yeah I hate the fact that augments vanish when you equip another, I lost my excellent light source augment and I want that bugger back damn it. They should go back into your inventory when you swap them.

    There's a mod in the workshop called Light the Way which strikes a balance - all augments include light of an appropriate level, so you can at least take advantage of the light augment regardless of the augment you choose.

    That is also something that bothers me with the EPPs there is no point in keeping the lantern on a stick or its subsequent upgrades as to the fact you have to go to tier 1 or 2 planets to avoid dying from the environment and they are almost useless now a days. That includes armor with special upgrades such as the biolumecent armor, because it is so weak I can't wear it while exploring and the stats give no help, mining helmet included. Will this is the future be fixed so light stats can be added while wearing them in the vanity slot, such as the rusted skull helmet, I really like the way it makes light.
