Sort of but still more people might eventually support this, who knows. And I might start to post the next idea soon enough.
What if there's a special type of disguise block that triggers an electric/redstone/whatever signal when it's mined? As soon as someone finds TNT they'll have to book it or die.
I like the general idea a lot, both TTC's and Chippo's different diverse suggestions are good, I wish them both to be in game, but it probably wont happen, unfortunately... Great minds are in this community, Chippo's is one of them. I'd like to see the other idea you have thought of, it could be either really interesting or a plain, bland, un-elaborated idea.
I agree there are many great minds, however school started again recently so my creativity has been on a decline. I would love to see more of the ideas of this community go into the game after release though, that'd be awesome!
This sounds like a mimic. Disguises itself as a chest and then tries to bite your feet off. I like this idea. A possible way to expand on this is to have a planet where this is the native life form. Catch is this planet is rich in a rare ore, but has your nasties often disguised as the ores making it a risky place. Of course, if this follows Terraria's physics you'll already be swinging your pickaxe like a nutter so they would need to be very resistant to knockback to be dangerous otherwise they'd die like flies.
Sounds like a good idea! It does seem similar to mimics, so I think it could work! Maybe it could drop some extra ore when you defeat it (or something else, depending on how easy/difficult & rare/common).
