As for the races, Well I don't know about creative.. some are just more anthropomorphic animals and cliches. They are interesting as to an idea what the developers where thinking first starting off. Maybe someone will whip up a mod for these "lost" races.

 

Some are. Not sure what the hell the pedobear is doing in the top right corner though.
The one on the bottom right would've been one to use though.

Arrogant - yes, but its not just them who show arrogance. I do agree that no one can be perfect, but really, there's not that much(almost none!) of a lore/codex about Hylotl so there's no point to speak of them that early just by looking at the unfinished gamebfiles.

Anyhow, the real creative aspects of the races are their lore. Robots? Cliche. Robots stuck in the medieval ages? Creative.
Apply that to all the races. Also space cowboys made of burning gas are coming. Pretty creative there.

 

From just a design aspect they're pretty boring. In terms of the lore concept, a few are; the Glitch and Floran are, seeing how that's just not predictable at all. The others not so much.

 

I'm not sure how avians are uncreative.... the fact that they had they're wings chopped off is unique, and so is the god who ordered it...

 

I never said the others weren't. But to me they don't really stick out.

 

I was looking through the assets and found a file with some sentence about a fox walking repeating over and over again each time getting bigger. I forgot where I found it though.

 

I find this very cool. The colourful npc, I think are the ones found in the rainbow biome.

its a sentence that uses every letter in the english alphabet atlest once, it was used for testing something
but it was left in for a easter egg or something idk =/

 

I don't care if the Hylotl are evil baby-stealing bastards, actually, I kinda do... or just leading their own spawn back to their cities, I'l still love em', cause FISH are so adorable.... especially the goldfish with the massive eyes...
