I really think it would be great if you could interact with furniture like sitting in chairs, laying on beds, etc. Similar to animal crossing. That would make a HUGE difference to me.

  2. *gasp* LAVARAVALAVARAVARAVA!

    Whoever made that house did a pretty good job. So far my OCD hasn't acti- ... please... close that door >_>;

Nope I'm not sure, but since the ability to sit in chairs or lay down in beds hasn't been mentioned before I assumed we cannot. My fingers are crossed though.

*Edit - Actually there were some animations for laying in bed.

  4. Still trying to figure out if they're the same animation. Too much distractions, I can't focus!

Definately appears to be the same animation. Either way love it!

I wonder if the lights will cast a different color. I mean a red lavalamp would cast a red light while a blue would cast a blue one right?

Oh, that's a pretty good question. We have yet to see in depth lightning system, with different colors and such. Would sure add to the details, but considering normal lava lamps, they do cast off very little light, in a already lit room, but could work for a very moody light, when everything else is turned off.

There are 3 animations 2 of each one of the 6 use the same animation.
They do.You can notice it here but it's too weak because of the lamps.

  10. Actually it's the same animation, but shifted by several frames;)

I really like how there's so much more variety in furniture than there was in Terraria. :)
It seems like my fortress will have plenty of useless rooms now!

Or maybe I'll just put a toilet in front of a TV and a fridge behind the toilet.
    EFFICIENCY!

Now all I need is a coffee machine and a water boiler for tea.

I wonder if those lockers are item storage.... that'd be sweeeet = w=

Nice for just wanting a modern home, but I can't wait to see the more high tech stuff~

At first I was concerned whether it's possible to make furniture face both left and right. But now I've noticed chairs and bookshelves (at last).

  14. If you look REALLY closely, you'll see that the wood behind the lava lamp is tinted a different color.

The only thing I don't like is how every furniture item is facing to the side, especially the TV. It would be nice if the furniture could face you as well, so your entire house doesn't look slanted.

Has anyone else noticed that the nail-plank background isn't a repetitive pattern? I think that is an awesome little detail, There isn't just one wood-plank background texture, it looks like there are several that the computer picks to make the background less predictable. (same with the dirt and stone.)
(Edit: I just noticed that everything is that way. Nothing has the repetitive patterns that we've come to expect from Minecraft and Terraria. THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING, ok maybe not, but it is super cool )

I was thinking the same thing. I didn't mind the slant, but I minded that they didn't slide the furniture behind other furniture when they were next to each other. for example there is a gap between the lockers on the lower right entryway.

This is a beautiful house. I want one.

And I love the swampy look of the world!

I agree. That slant makes the rooms look more interesting as long as the furniture is not standing one next to another. The kitchen looks weird with all the stuff turned towards the door.
I hope they will make "en face" sprites for the furniture as well. Obviously it's a lot of work, but if they made not just mirrors of sprites but additional sprites, for some items, that are seen from the back (like the blue-ish chair here: http://playstarbound.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/screen1.png - still slanted but viewed kinda from the back, obviously an additional sprite was made for this one, not just the original mirrored) then perhaps there is a chance they would add sprites facing with their front, at least for some items.

Maybe they do the same for some of the furniture like with what they did the walls/bricks? where if you left click it, you get it on a normal facing towards, but right click you get the back facing you. Which would be nice for people (like me) who like to make nice bases.

Indeed. I personally think it would look a bit "off" if a television was at an angle, while, say a chair on top of it it was angled differently/oddly (No I don't put chairs on TVs, but hopefully what I said made sense).
