I don't know about Windows and Mac, but I know that the Windows coords posted here still do not work for my Clanforge server.

I don't think having to post the OS is that much of an inconvenience, and if it has a chance of being beneficial to anyone at any time, why not continue to do it?

Small planet. To the right from spawn is a small Avian market and home. Just beyond that are trees that drop crystals instead of refined wood. There are also crystals on the surface you can mine. Again its not big but if you need crystals you can get them here. To the left of spawn (really doesn't matter which way you go ..planet is small) occupied Apex village with a chest containing Lucky Dip Blue Print for me. Couple other purple guys with hoods along the surface.

This is to get a Floran Bone Xylophone but there are a few steps.

Far far right you will eventually come to an abandon Sewage tunnel.



You will have to dig where my arrow is, leading down to an underground Apex dome.



If you climb down, and follow the the tunnel to the left of the Apex dome, the chest should be right down there.



(Back at spawn) if you go left, there is a Sewer dungeon quite a ways a way.

 

I'd just like to confirm that the chest really is there, so don't beat yourself up about it.

Edit: And before i forget, i'm running Windows XP.

 

i found it when i looked the biome can change you myth have a snow biome at that location but its gonna look the same way has the picture

 

I went back again and I found the spot with the chest in a snow biome. I don't know if the shell is there or not as the chest had been previously looted. I must have seen it when you posted it in the old/new thread and gone there. I'm on Win 8, why would the mini-biome be different?

 

that is interesting because i just went there and there was no mini snow biome and i found the chest in the right place even though my OS is windows 8

 

Alpha Sector planet with microphone.



From the landing site, head right until you find this Avian vendor. The opening in the ground there is where I came up from below the surface. I found the microphone while in a fairly sizable cavern structure, so I tried making a straight line to the surface to find a landmark. This bird wasn't too far off. Just start digging downward from here and give a screen width to the left or right for margin of error.



I have not yet explored the rest of the planet, figured I'd put this one up right away. Enjoy!

 

yeah, I found it lol.
only found 4 rainbow chests but at least one of them had a Rainbow Hood.
if anyone finds anymore rainbow biomes, quote me!

First chest, I had a wedding dress, no TV helm

Second chest, this is a chest inside an instance which means it is random for everyone.

Third chest, I found the trumpet!

Fourth chest, again, inside an instance which means random.

Head left and you will see a morphball tech on the ground very soon. Keep going left and you will see a few geometric chests with the geometric table, screen and chest blueprints inside. Now head right from you spawn for a long time and you will see a pixel hero cape inside a chest on a snowy ledge. Just to the right of the chest is another chest with a harmonica inside.

Head left and you will run into a avian gunship vendor. Further left after that you will see a cardboard hat inside a chest sitting on the side of a cliff. Keep going until you reach a desert biome again and you will see a chest on the ground with a legendary bonehammer inside.

What are the coordinates of the system?

 

I'd love to go check out the alpha planet, but since the enraged patch the Alpha icon on my starmap is gone. This happened to anyone else out there? I know one other person who is afflicted, but I don't know if it's the norm or a freak thing.

In there I found this mod that is a partial fix for the alpha bug: http://community.playstarbound.com/index.php?resources/daims-miscellany.1674/

Apparently it is a partial fix because some people can't set a home planet in alpha but the mod does allow you to go to alpha so you can check out planets. Hope this helps.

 

You can always reset the world folder, Just keep the files that don't start with Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta and Sector X and it resets the hole system like there new planets.

 

It's like that for me too.
