Hey guys, I couldn't find anything. Wondering if you can help. Whenever I go to a lava, magma biome, I get trapped in FTL. I know there are mods, but I don't know how to do that, and I also run a server with like two friends, and wondering if someone can make a video that basically explains "for dummies" how to fix it so I can fix it for the server. Thanks. <3 I need lava biomes for metal trees.

Savanah biomes can also have rust or crystal(I think) minibiomes but idk why they do though. Starbrethren has two videos that show savanahs with rust biomes which are this: and this: , one for delta sector and one for X sector.

Sorry for the change in format in the middle of the post. To make up for it, I present you a solar system full of goodies worth the fuel you'll spend (hopefully ::cool:.

    Gamma sector (Windows 7)
Gamma Polaris Gal. Bor. Minoris system
    X-39556142, Y35532964

    Planet 1a:
Head west for Avian tomb, small Apex facilities scattered across planet

    Ib (Snow):
Head west for Penal Colony, dig below near spawn point for an underground tar biome

    Ic:
Head west for an Avian village, further west for a Hylotl bandit camp (so-called peace-loving species)

    IIb:
    Head east for Glitch village

    IIc:
Avian village just left of the spawn.

    III
    Desert planet:
Head west for a purple bone biome to dig out purple bone blocks (and they will still be purple when you place them!). Small Big Ape posts/shacks are dispersed across the planet, each shack contains a wire bookshelf you can use for wiring purposes (hidden room, anyone?).
    Floran village opposite spawn
Head east for a small Glitch castle with the Stim pack/Wizard merchant.

    Arid planet:
Head west for a small Avian home, further west for a small USCM base.

    IVa:
Excellent planet to set as home: Abandoned/decrepit Glitch station next to the spawn to the left. Biome is full of Oculemon plants and trees so food is plentiful.
Head further west for an Apex lab
Small Glitch Library Towers are dispersed across the planet. The guards there dropped Terrifying Wings so this is a good planet to go to if you're looking for them.

    Arid:
    Head west for Glitch castle

EDIT: Fixed copy-paste problem I had with notepad o_O

Not even a minute to the left you will see a tech chest in a small hole visible from the surface.

Windows 8, Variety is the spice of the Universe mod.

Alpha Ultragon 371 I: Threat level 1, Volcanic, big Apex town.

    Coordinates
    X: -32844677
    Y: -85194092

Of course Volcanic Biomes won't normally spawn in Alpha sector, but that Apex town was absolutely massive. At least 10 huge buildings stretching up and holding 5-7 NPCs a piece at a minimum. The Biome might be something you'd find in Alpha Sector and the town would still be there. The housing buildings were so high up that birds were spawning next to guards and wiping them out, so keep soft stuff like dirt on hand to seal the doors from NPCs using them, if that's your thing.

This thread seems kind of silly, I dunno. I have been keeping track of wherever I go since furious koala, but mostly for personal use and if someone else is looking for something specific, I might be able to direct them somewhere. If people really did contribute to this thread as intended... oh boy, MEGAthread it would be. I'm even kind of curious if the entire starbound can/will be mapped out. And if it is, will it be done by the users in this manner, or at least input on a site dedicated to this specific endeavor, or will someone eventually utilize some future program that will somehow map the game's stars and it's information for us? I am rooting for the former, even if this game explodes into everyone's household like minecraft or world of warcraft, but at the same time, it still seems silly. But, to contribute something related to the thread..

Delta Sagitarii Minoris I -- Desert -- Some Agaran content to the right and left of the spawn point, an avian airship, some magma mini-biomes scattered throughout along with several floran houses as well. BIG planet, will take a bit to circumnavigate.

Can anyone recommend a nice home planet in X-sector? Preferably Threat lvl 7/8 and not desert or covered in acid/poison. I want to focus on exploring but first i need a home base! Thanks :)

    Try these coordinates out:

    Video: http://bit.ly/1ei9FVU
    OS: Windows
    Sector: X
    Coordinates: 65916735, 8593622
    Planet: Sloodhon Minoris I b
    Threat Level 10
    Biome: Snow

There is a pixel cape on this planet if you head right. It is right under a wizard tower.
And here's a picture of me wearing the cape with my sharkboy hero costume: http://i.imgur.com/wYlrRCe.png

    Video: http://bit.ly/1m8tUzB
    Sector: Alpha
    Coordinates: 42700063, 33300062
Planet: Ups UMa 330 IV c
    Biome: Desert

There is a rainbow cape here once you spawn. These are the only two capes I've found so far and I'm hoping to find more!

I got a few human mech blueprints so far. While in appearance and at first, you are thinkin', "Sweeeet"
but then you realize that it sucks.
Soon, hopefully, they will make them better, but right now... It's a bull in a china shop... A really weak bull. That doesn't destroy anything. Just big, slow, and meh.

Doom Lord's set is tier 10 Glitch armor. Craftable with Impervium. Start up a Glitch toon. It's snazzy stuff.

indeed, but i saw that it had no trouble taking down the jellyfish boss and im looking for it because i play permadeath mode, thought it could help

also, do you know what could be the problem? is it because im on windows8 and not windows 7? playing multiplayer and not singleplayer? anything?

I really can't say. I read another forum a few days ago, might have been in the steam discussions, about some people thinking that different OS would result in a different planetary result. I don't know if there was any fact to it or not, but I didn't find my mech blueprint until well into sector X, very deep underground. I haven't died on any bosses yet, but I'm also not playing on perma-death mode, so I don't know how I would have handled it with that risk involved. But if you can't find what you are looking for, I would suggest utilizing the +health foods combined with red stims and spammed bandages. Focus on the boss over it's adds, and never stay in one spot. I also never prepped a fighting area for any of the bosses, like some videos suggest. I just did it in a relatively wide-open space. I used bombs and other projectiles as well.

Edit: currently defense turrets cost 1 pixel from the 3d printer, so you could make an arsenal to help against the boss, but I never used them yet, either. Not sure how "pure" of a fight you want it to be.

A different OS does result in a different starmap. However, it's not so specific that different versions will affect things; for example, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 will all have the same starmap. However, Windows will not have the same map as Mac, which will not have the same map as Linux. Also, when playing on a server, the starmap is generated based on the server's OS, not yours, so this is something to keep in mind.

like for example check this video out, its brand spanking new

and still when i attempt to explore the same planet, it is rearranged.... does this mean that if the host is playing on a mac that my coordinates will be based on mac, and not PC? thus i would have to play singleplayer?
