Proceed to the left from the spawn point but do expect to be doing some significant traveling...as seen in the picture. I beamed down when it was early morning and reached the surface chest in the middle of the night. Along the way, you'll pass an underground USCM facility, a bandit camp, and several ruins that have those winged dudes with the eyeswords.

Here's a picture of the same surface chest but on a second run after reloading the planet. Flight techs obviously make the trip muuuuch faster:



This also confirms previously stated findings in regards to how loot is distributed. If it's a container that's related to an instance, the contents will be completely random. If it's a container that's not related to an instance, then the contents will be the same in terms of items, just with random stats.

Keep going left, there is a glitch castle with a king. In one of the royal chests is the wizards hat, robe top and robe bottoms.

I got this for you. I will have to grab coords at home, but it is a level 9 planet in what I call the Avian Mall System. There are more merchants than you would believe, half a screen to the left. I will post those in a few hours.

 

Maybe you are running different operating systems?

 

Was this the chest in the shallow cave with the rocket launcher? if so, i'm highly dissapointed, it didn't have a rocket launcher in it for me... that was the sole reason i made the trip...

Biome: Tundra (level 10)

Heading left from spawn, you'll come across a couple Agarans standing near a large Floran Statue I've never seen before. (See screenshots.) A little ways past that you'll come to an Apex Platforming Dungeon, a good distance past that will be a second Apex Platforming Dungeon both with randomly generated Tech Chests with a tech at the end.

Heading right from spawn, you'll find a Tech Chest inside a crevice containing Bubble Boost. The next crevice or two past that will have a chest with both the Star Cleaver and the Bonehammer. (See screenshots for the location of both.)

There are also a couple of Geometric Chests, one had the Geometric Screen blueprint, the other Geometric Table blueprint. They're both very far apart and a decent ways away from spawn regardless of which direction you go.

Just out of curiosity, what is your character wearing, besides the Captain's Cap and Pixel Hero Cape?

 

Haha np I was/ am getting a little frustrated too about the fact that my planets differ so much. :/ Still haven't found the reason, maybe I need to play on another server.. Right now im playing on a Dutch vanilla server.

Sorry I do not remember which cave it was in and dont have access to the game atm. Also the Rocket Launcher might not be 4,400 damage for you, one of the first few pages where there was a tesla staff found the one I found in the chest was around 200 dps higher than one in picture.
