The Chucklefish laugh

The modern day version of

Captain Hindsight: Chucklefish Laugh will become a meme, Chucklefish will become a Meme.

On a side note: The laugh is annoying.

 

It needs to replaced with this PRONTO

I admit it is a bit creepy, but you (and your friends) are overreacting.

 

Speaking of creepy logos (including the V of Doom I'd posted before as well as the Chucklefish), has anyone considered writing up an entry for Chucklefish at the CLG Closing Logo Wiki site ( http://www.closinglogos.com )?

I'd imagine the CLG page for Chucklefish would read like this:

Background: Chucklefish Games is a UK-based independent game-development studio, led by Finn "Tiyuri" Brice. Brice formed the company to produce the sandbox exploration game 'StarBound' after leaving Re-Logic Software, makers of 'Terraria' which StarBound's gameplay is largely based on.

Nickname: "The Chucklefish", "Giggling (Orange) Puffer Fish (of Doom/from Hell)"

Logo: On a black screen, the name "Chucklefish" in bold, pixelated, pumpkin-orange letters with blue trim pop up in the center of the screen, with a cartoon drawing of a smiling orange puffer fish looking at the player to the right of the logo. The whole logo pulls back slightly and comes to a stop a second later.

FX: Only the pop-up and snap back of the logo, which is otherwise a static logo.

Music/Sounds: Only a high-pitched male giggle, supposedly coming from the cartoon puffer fish in the logo (hence the company name).

Availability: A fairly brand-new logo. Seen on booting up 'StarBound'; not known if this same logo is used for the company's other current releases.

Scare Factor: Medium. Many StarBound players have reportedly been creeped out by the logo's sudden pop-up on the screen and the accompanying giggle sound, others think it's a cute and harmless logo. Of course, as with many other logos, your mileage may vary.

Haha! This is quality. I also have found the chuckle to become really fkkin irritating. It would be much better if there was either a maniacal / suicidal ripping laughter or a world dominator style Mwuhhhahahahahaha laughter.

However the downside to this is that the Devs would have to change the company name accordingly:

Maniacallaughterfish and Worlddominationchucklefish simply don't carry the same punchy intonation do they? Not to mention the web address!!!
