The Chucklefish laugh

It reminds me of Insaniquarium's Type-G.

Who's the guy laughing anyway? I always imagined a pedophile laughing like that.

 

I've dreamed about the laugh. I'm naked on an white plane extending into infinity. A large black shadow starts to grow. The laughter increases in intensity. I'm running, every part of my body recoiling in fear. The laughter gets louder... and louder... Everything goes dark as I feel nothing anymore but the laughter...

I wake up. I load Starbound, and the laughter mocks me once more.

 

It's the sound that Tiy makes when you tickle him.
How do I know?

As long as the loading screen window isn't the active window, I get no sound from it. So I can avoid the laugh altogether by just clicking on anything else after launching. I don't know if this works the same way if you were to NOT launch through the steam client, however.

 

In splift's? That's Tidus. The worst final fantasy protagonist ever(IMO), until Vaan and his painted abs showed up. Tidus's laugh even in game makes people uncomfortable. The Chucklefish has quite a ways yet.

 

The chucklefish laugh reminds me of "white face"'s laugh from pixelated nightmare...

Psychopath serial killers and the Chucklefiish both laugh. Coincidence? I think not

Eh, the Chucklefish is nothing. I've seen far worse on TV during my childhood.

If someone is that bothered by the Chucklefish, I'd sure hate to see their reaction to the late-70s/early-80s-era Viacom 'V of Doom' logo! (for extra effect, watch this fullscreen and/or on a big screen TV. With the lights off and the volume turned up high... )


(Offhand, I'm a little surprised someone hasn't made an intro logo mod replacing the Chucklefish that references the V of Doom yet...)

 

Eh, I found THX's(that's their name right?) introduction knida off as a child...

 

Kidding aside, if you're seriously scarred in the brain from this, don't use your computer anymore. There's much worse to be found.

 

I never hear the laugh, because I normally have another tab open when it pops up, so it never plays.

 

I guess this makes coal....
