A brisk breeze flies over the field, taking with it the deadly cloud that took so many lives. And as it departs, one can almost swear it was glowing...

The competition has been thinned greatly, very few remain and a lingering sense of dread persists over the battlefield. The deadly cloud not only poisoning their body but their thoughts too. If something so sudden and unexpected could sweep across the field and flatten man in an instant, what chance did they truly have of surviving? Surenu, maddened by this thought attacks a tribute, partly to better their chance of winning and partly to relieve the frustration that coiled within him. However, the recent gassing has left him weak and slow, permitting the knife wielding Ryast. plagued by similar thoughts, to slice Surenu's throat open. The slit widening like a sinister eye.

And from somewhere in the bushes or high above, a playful chuckle is heard.

There seems to be a sudden dramatic increase of people maddened by their own mortality. Leading Zelda, the puny human, to wield his sword and lunge for the planet sized Ruin. He fights wildly, grunting like an animal while dodging the Ruin's lasers and portals in a graceful dance, slowly nudging the Lovecraftian beast backwards and off a cliff. He watched down cruelly as the thing tumbled with a final animalistic shriek. DMG similarly is now on the prowl to kill, but they're a bit craftier. Jumping in with a sword swinging instead enough for them, they need to see their target suffer and waste away. And she hoped to do just that by burning what little food and supplies the GE had.

And Stalin watches all of this. He is mortified but dares not to scream. The needless violence, the death, the murder. It was all so much easier to bear in a lavish office than in a battle field, forced to watch the gore yourself from ground level rather than from on high. He curls himself behind a rock and falls asleep.

This fish, Otto, and Purple are no different. Their desperation leads them to do something much more unheard of than just murder. Team work. They grit their teeth and deal with each other, united not by a desire to win but a desire to survive. They sleep in shifts until the morning where they promised this truce would end.

And among the death and violence, the shrieks and cries, the true agents of chaos, a spider and a rabbit, snuggle up next to each other and sleep. Peaceful and indifferent.
