The Center of the Planet,

I dug down to the center of the planet, through the lava and found that.....the world is flat?I was hoping to come out on the other side. I wonder what happens if I go right/left...

If you go far enough left or right you'll come back to where you began - that part does work (Though the map is essentially rectangular, in a real circle obviously the distance before you arrive back at the starting point decreases with depth)

 

I wouldn't say it's flat...necessarily...maybe more like a tubular shape 'cause if you keep traveling in one direction, you'll eventually come back to where you started.

 

it is flat and easy to proove, because all the grid lines are parallel so it can't be curved.

 

Maybe it's curved towards the camera!

It isn't because if you make an item with just a black rectangle it shows up like that in -game, the sides are parallel

 

If it were truly flat then it would be impossible to return to a starting location by traveling in one direction, though.

With enough health regen, is it possible to survive through the lava layer and come out the other side? I noticed that lava does similar damage to poison now, where it used to kill in two "ticks" on my old character. As a Hylotl, I can't find any good health regen recipies, and bandages were not healing enough for me to make it all the way through the lava indefinitely.

Well, what were you expecting? This isn't motherlode.

 

I hope they make non-molten moon cores. I'd like to see some variation.

 

Frankly, I was hoping for some kind of massive black-and-white yin-yang bomb.

 

Its more like reel to reel video player that plays in a continuous loop only its digital and there is no reel so it essentially is flat.
