Strap in folks, cause you have a sea of text and story in front of you.

The brain suckers, scientific name being "Suckamus Brainium," originate from a planet called Jellako. They expanded themselves via brain/infestation of ships.
They are made of a strange jelly-like substance, that can stick at will. Normally, they just slosh and jiggle to get around. But, when they want to stick to something, a chemical is released that sets off a chain reaction with the rest of its body to stick. The reason they are called brain suckers, is well, that they suck brains. They do this by ambushing some sentient being, (who wants to suck on a tiny brain)usually via high ground, and jumping on their head and sticking instantly. If they are halfway off the head or something, they distribute the chemical to different parts of the body in order to get on top properly. Once on top, they use their teeth (Mouth looks kinda like a squid/octopus's) to burrow in to the good ol' cranial noggin. Their saliva (jelly around the mouth) is a numbing agent/aggression suppressant, so that they can suck freely. These jelly monsters only slurp the brain JUICE, so when they're done, jelly and the brain is what is left. Because of this, anyone who didn't die by the end of the process, is a zombie. Really aggressive, and because of the saliva, extreme pain tolerance.
