I'll start by saying this is in no way game breaking, or really all that hindering. but i thought it best to post anyway.

While on the ship, *sometimes* i have to press the beam down button multiple times before it works.
the beaming animation plays, but i just arrive back at the ship.

It's probably worth noting that whenever i beam down, even to planets i've already been to, i get a very major lag spike while the planet loads. This may have something to do with it. i.e a timer in which, if the planet hasn't initiated yet, you spawn back on your ship.

Not that i'm expecting it to load instantly.

This is happening to me too. And as you said it's not game-breaking in any way, just a tad annoying at times.

I've had this too. Just adding my name so they have some idea of how many people effected.

Hey, happens here too, it started happening after the new patch. Before the update it was fine.

yep I've had that happen to me as well, on multiple occasions.

Ditto. It's very rare, and trying to beam down again is successful, so it's a very minor bug.

I have this problem with being unable to beam down too, but for me even when I restart the game I can't beam down to a planet even if I try pressing the beam down button several times.

I have this problem too. There's not much you can do.

I have this issue. I've read elsewhere that this is a missing feature. You can't beam down the first try/few tries because the planet is still loading and there is nothing to beam down to. (Just like the lengthy Chucklefish logo on startup.)

Letting the game sit for a minute or so always solves this for me, but there should really be something like "Please wait for the FTL engines to completely power down before attempting to warp."

I only have this issue when pressing E, no issues at all when I place my mouse cursor over the beam down pad (on the floor of the ship) and Middle mouse clicking, I've also used the beam down button as well in the upper right corner. However I do agree that E should work every time as long as you are standing on the pad.

    Same problem here...

This seems to happen a lot less when running on multiplayer. It's almost a constant on my single player game, but I've only seen it once when doing multi on a LAN environment. If it is a loading issue it should only happen once when you start playing single, but it persists throughout the playthrough.

it happens to me quite frequently and i usually cannot leave my ship until it happens 4 or 5 times

I'm also having this issue. Sometimes it can take over 10 tries before it'll let me beam down to the planet. Very frustrating.

You do know that you can click the beam down button in the corner or middle mouse click the pad right? I've started doing this until it's fixed, in fact I find middle mouse click to work best of everything as pressing E can miss or requires you to be closer to the object then middle mouse does (especially useful to opening doors a second before you're in range to use E)

  17. I also have this issue, but for me, it takes almost 20 minutes to finally get to the planet i'm over.

    this bug is quite aggravating,
though im more curious as to why it is actually happening, cause it seems like a planet generation/rendering issue...

Does anyone with an SSD encounter this problem? I wonder if it's related to planet load times.
