You know what I thought of? The Jaffa from Stargate and their staff weapons.

 

I will choos the knife beak. Stab while looking hilaroius.

 

It wasn't something I was expecting, but they actually look really cool.

 

Look like their from pokemon or something? What? Weeeeeeird I don't see it but w/e

I was wondering about the white through the cross hatched 'windows' too. It makes me think that this was just for testing the procedural generation of the temples, and so this isn't actually on a proper map, hence the white and the black background. Not sure about the red bits though, because they sort of look like holes through the wall too, showing something weird and red glowing behind. Maybe they're just a different wall tile, to make it a bit more futuristic?

 

Unless there is another race revealed as good as this, my character is now an Avian.

 

Is anyone else reminded of the Choza from Metroid? (only without a power suit)

 

All i got to say is that who ever got this idea is awesome!
I think that it will be one alien race that i will try to be friendly with and possibly be an ally with them.

 

Spacefaring bird people who build temples and colonies on many different planets, these guys are alot like Chozo.

Now i can't stop imagine them making me some kind of ultimate battle suit...

 

Just make one as your character and I imagine in late game there'll be some kind of powersuit armour that you can wear

Looks like holes in the backround wall revealing some sort of lava rock to me.

The last thing I expected to see was bird people.....Oh well just 1 more thing for me to burn.

I'm up for any beast race there is, and birds happen to be close to heart, so it's a win-win situation for me!
