The Avians

Anyone else see the weird head looking right, instead of Tiy's characters normal head? Took me far longer than it should have to realise he was actually looking up...

 

Amazing is all I can say, although I think Tiy is about to become a sacrifice . I would probalbly build a temple invite some and BLOW IT UP!!!

 

I love the Avians, they are so awesome! I have been inactive for a while due to school and such, but man that post got me even more excited for Starbound.

And Alvin, I saw that too

 

I think this is going to be my race when I start playing. I love this race, it's so cool IMO.

 

I make a small youtube series called "Starbound News" where I attempt to deliver the latest Starbound News before anyone else. Not a developer video or anything, its fan based.

 

I approve of this race and think that it will be fun to plunder their temples and disgrace the god they hold so highly and might even play as one and do the oppisite

Looks awesome. I would most definitely play as this race more then once, and I enjoy the backstory too. Great job to the team.

 

I'm glad that the team's thinking through this with interesting races with backstory, and not just throwing a bunch of animals at us we can play as.
I'd like to see what they come up with for an intelligent techno race which hates phyisical contact.


Also: wings/jetpacks!

I'm expecting the wings and jetpacks to be only small bursts... unrestricted flying would ruin a lot.

But I'll let that slip, since those pots are badass. The rightmost pot looks cute too.

Wow!!!... The artistic detailing in that temple is amazing! ... Even some of the pots have faces on them. Will all the decorative items/blocks in the image be placeable? Things like the skull and bones or the wooden beams in the corners???

That they do. And for that, it makes them even more awesome.

 

It looks nice. I dont think I'll choose this to be my main race, but I would try it out. I'd say this gives us a good hint on what else to expect.

I had the same reaction, I wasn't expecting them but it's a cool idea, don't see myself playing as one of them though.

 

First, yes I loved this part , if only cause it confirms jetpacks (or bad ass wings), I'm assuming they will function similar to wings/rocket boots from terraria, although I'm hoping you can get to a point where you can fly for really long periods of time because... well it would make things great for later gaming (firing your blaster pistols on your enemies from above... Boba/Jango Fett style)
