Here's a collection of Poems I thought the Avians would pray before battle:

    Great Bird
I humbly ask for your mighty wing
To hold my fragile life in safety
May the enemies before me taste your smite
And the fire not hurt your children
Let the shackles of death drag upon the ones below your grace
    Let it be so
    Let it be so

    Your omnipotence is my shield
    Wrath my spear
A power of yours is embers among wood
    Arrows among sticks
    Swords among clubs
The apes may come with their metal spears of fire
But we have your fire within us
And your power in our spears

Good news! This is now a collection and no longer one poem! :D

They're pretty good! My only criticism is a grammatical one; in Embers Among Wood, the line "A power of yours is embers among wood" should be "A power of yours 'are' embers among wood" since embers is a plural.

But "A power" is singular and you can make a plural analogy out of a singular.
