Do Avali like sharing, charity and giveaways? And I don't mean giving 3 bucks to someone, I mean sharing almost all of their property with others.
I assume because of their lack of sense of property, they would.

 

It's an interesting dilema. At the end of the day it almost always comes down to the fact no creation of man lasts forever. While it might seem like a good idea to say; conquer the world under one banner thus eliminating war (and countless more deaths) forever, the reality is that eventually that empire is going to crumble, and the business as usual of killing each other would resume. The sacrifices would have been for nothing, or at least, a regular trickle of "sacrifices" would be needed to maintain the status quo.

Good question, almost all forms of mental "illness" ultimately come down to an over-emphasis or under-emphasis of base-line cognitive function. So it stands to reason almost any function of an alien mind, could have a counter-part where it is over or under active, since that error is occuring in only a single individual, in terms of actual treatment, it'd mostly be focused on that one individual, however you would need to screen the rest of the pack to ensure there was no secondary effects, like co-dependancy, frustrations etc that had developed among them. I guess the treatment fits the problem. Also worth remembering the meritocratic structure, that mental health "issues" might not be seen as issues if it can provide an advantage certain situations. (For example Aspergers have been demonstrated to frequently have exceptional academic skill/focus, even though they have inherently dysfunctional social capabilities. Since humanity is a social-orientated species, they see this as something to 'fix' even though many of those they've sidelined as disabled could provide immense services to society in the right place)

That and the weapons have some in-built safety features, like built in IFF (<"Error: Target presents valid medical chip, locking trigger">), tampering with a weapon's IFF would probably be a serious criminal offence in it's own right.

Basically, if they have spare rations, no reason hoarding them, but personal items like clothing, weapons, and other trinkets, stay with their owner.
