If a parasite were capturing Hyloyl eggs or whatever you salamanders reproduce with and infecting them to make them into more of themselves, and trapping Hylotls to be forced to breed to make more eggs, I would kill said parasites on sight, and free those Hylotls. I might not like them, but it is common decency to do this.

Well, his anti-floraness has been proven time and time again in the Floran menace thread thing. And he has an innate ability to detract from the main subject to Floran hate. A bad look for Hyotyls. And I don't care if you reply Villhelm, I'm not going to bother myself with you.

I generally think that the Aragans are using armor and cultures of others simply because their brains cannot come up with their own works. Additionally, I'm pretty sure that they're only using Floran armor, not Floran culture. They appear to be wielding katanas, which match the Japanese style Hylotl. Also, their birth pods probably look like Floran pods because
A.) They are plant based
B.) They may be descendants of the Florans (or the Florans descended from them?)
I personally think that the Florans descended from them (or they have no relations) because they speak an old, foreign language that isn't registered in the Universal Translator.

Peace friends. What proof of malevolence do we truly have? Yes it is true we do not understand the Agarans, but could not our fear of them be nothing more than that? A lack of understanding? In all my dealings with the Agarans they have shown me no harm. While it is strange how rapidly they are spreading without the use of space travel, think of what we might learn from them. What ability or technology do they possess? It is also true that they keep prisoners. I have seen Florans held captive. I have never seen them harm these prisoners though, whereas many of us would, perhaps even myself cultured and enlightened as I am, would not hesitate to kill a Floran on sight. Is not imprisonment the more civilized thing to do?

Let us not judge the Agaran too quickly or too harshly. After all, are we Hylotl not different from you Apex, Humans, and Avians? Are we not able to put aside our differences to work together? Why then should we turn on a new race out of our own ignorance? ​

Again, the weapons are Human Tier 1 Broadswords that don't level-scale properly, so they're probably placeholders.

 

Analysis. Given time Agaran spores can grow mushrooms in even the metal skin of the Glitch.
Horror. Infection of primary intelligence hardware can cause permanent errors that may be replicated even after resurrection.

 

Oh. Well in that case, I don't know what there "culture" is. But I'm quite sure that it's not Floran, because they have glowing plants, animal pelts, and bone furniture in their villages. The Aragans don't really have any furniture in their villages, aside from the commonly found pots.

 

Funnily enough, I found a massive Agaran settlement earlier this weekend. Co-ordinates are current as of Enraged Koala:

Mushroom trees, little mushroom goblin guys, enormous amount of mushroom houses with shroom chests that often contain blueprints, Agaran merchants that seem to sell somewhat decent weapons, and... a large floran settlement on the small bit of land not dominated by Agarans. Either I got amazingly lucky with the world generation or there's a deliberately coded massive Agaran settlement. Take care though, the terrorist/bandit/whatever camps between Agaran settlements are absolutely brutal.

Also just to throw it out there; fungus tends to grow best where things have died. Take that as you will.

 

That, or they're not a race at all, but rather are individuals of the other races infested by a complex fungus .., A fungus which has stunted their intelligence and installed new directives into their minds.

 

It's the only way to kill Agarans.

 

This game will become more awesome as it goes. I've come to realize that as long as the game is as it is right now (mine ore and make better armor) I'd say Terraria is a little bit more fun to play (since it was designed to be this way). However, when the game is like Tiy said it would become it will get much more awesome. Playing the game in it's finished stage will be like playing a whole new game!
