Text Mode Starbound

This is all UNEDITED! I used a shader to do this.

This isn't in text. Just really pixelated.

 

Yes, but notice how the pixels are elongated on the vertical axis, thus giving the illusion of text mode.

 

The illusion is not there. Text mode should have no pixels. Text mode would be the representation of pixels as characters. Usually ACSII.

Having no text at all doesn't help the pictures you took. Elongating the pixels only serves the purpose of making everything on the screen messy.

 

I set the resolution to 80x25, the resolution of CGA Text mode. Since I don't have a shader to reduce the palette to CGA Graphics, I cannot make it look the EXACT same... It BASICALLY looks like text mode, but it just needs the colors changed.

EDIT: Oh, I see what you mean... But do you know the ASCII block character??? I was trying to make it look like it had ASCII Block characters everywhere.

 

Making something small doesn't emulate text mode in the slightest.

The thread is going to drag on so I'm leaving. Might want to change the title so more people are not misled.
