  1. Oh, well what you said, but for EoS.

I seem to remember that Starbound would have Minecraft monsters in it.

I dont know how far the partnership with Minecraft would go, I'd certainly like to see more.

In anycase, given the choice between EoS and Minecraft, I think I know which brand I'd like my product to be association with ;)

Do you guys really not understand that you can own and play both games and accurately split time between the two? Its not Honda vs acura over here people. You can own both on the cheap and enjoy them. Not everything is a battle .

It's such a bitch, I've gifted SB to 2 friends already (30$ spent on SB + an additional 15$ for myself). If these jackasses want me to gift them another game... They'll have to wait for SB to be a finished game, until then, I'll quote shakespeare and AVGN:

I really don't like the Art Style of EoS - but I do like the Survival Aspects.
I wish EoS - Mechanics came to Starbound, using Starbound's Art Style.

Logical rational has no place in the world of gaming. At best you will be ignored. At worst ridiculed. Them's the rules. :(

Did you hear about Galaga? What does this mean for Space Invaders. Did you hear about this game Streets of Rage? Double Dragon are shaking in their jeans suits.

Life goes on and game producers make games. It's what they do.

I can't speak for Edge of Space yet because I haven't played it. Looks good, I'll get around to it one day but when it's out of early access. You know, so there's not a repeat of what's happened here with Starbound, being promised a beta release in December and being given an alpha instead and all that. I've learned not to trust early access. But space sharks is no less stupid than space penguins so I don't really see the deal there. Personally I'd take enemies and such that actually have attention put into them than a mess of procedurally generated monsters that haven't been given any individual love. Honestly I was disappointed that most of Starbound's monsters are randomly generated.

Terraria though... well in several ways I don't see Starbound topping it (I'll be blown away if they revamp Starbound's combat system and it's better than Terraria's, since right now its really bad) but that's really just going to depend on what Starbound does. Despite Terraria's limitations though it does have some better design choices than what's been made with Starbound, however Starbound isn't done yet and isn't as restricted by the engine that Terraria is (which is pretty much why Terraria 2 is happening), so Chucklefish is a lot more free to do whatever with Starbound. So who knows, really, only time will tell. I think the same goes for Edge of Space.

Haven't played it (and i don't think i ever will), but EoS looks ugly, the artstyle feels wrong for some reason.
Also, while starbound offers more freedom (for the players and for the devs), better lore, and is going in a direction which i prefer (Starbound explains with science what Terraria explains with magic), the gameplay at the moment is simply inferior to that of Terraria, and is limited to digging holes in planets and FTLing away.
But of course Terraria had a lot more time to get polished and balanced, and we'll have to wait for an actual release before we start bashing.

Seriously, I love being able to look at my desktop and say, "hm, shall I play Minecraft, Starbound, Landmark or Planet Explorers?"

Haven't played Edge of Space, mind you.
