~CONCERNING MYSELF~ Hello. Most of those reading this will already be familiar with me, but in the event that this is not the case, I'll briefly introduce myself. My forum-name is Urist McDwarf. I was one of the four original founders of Teräs, alongside with Ghost656, Stoltverd, and Triozero. (One of my humble contributions being the backstory found in the OP of the Clan-Thread on the SB-forums) I'm probably the least well known of all the Council of Steel members, and rightfully so. This was due to a very long, mostly involuntary absence from Starbound forums and by extension Clan-matters as a whole. Occasionally I was called to help decide on matters of great importance, but I posted very rarely on the clan thread itself. I am deeply sorry for forsaking my duties as a Founder, and I shall strive to interact with our community on the Clan thread alot more frequently from now on. [THE IMPORTANT BIT IS DOWN HERE, IGNORE THE TEXT ABOVE IF IT DOES NOT INTEREST YOU] Our Clan is suffering from a severe logistical mess. Many of our oldest members are inactive. Not even the Council has been spared from this. I am not blind to the reasons why this is so. Clan events have been minimal, or completely absent in recent days. This is mostly due to the previously mentioned member inactivity. The Council will remedy this, if enough requests are received from Clan-members. Events without willing particapants do nothing but waste the time of those who are organizing them. And, most importantly: ALL MEMBERS DEEMED INACTIVE WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE CLAN IN TWO WEEKS TIME. This work as follows: ~HOW TO BE CONFIRMED AS AN ACTIVE MEMBER~ Within two weeks you must either: a) Contact a Council member on Steam. b) Leave a message in the comments-section. c) Post on the Clan-Thread on the Starbound Forums. If you have been inactive for a long time, please remember to give us reasons why this is so. If you suspect/know this inactivity will resume at some particular point, remember to mention that as well. ~BUT WHAT IF I'M TOO LATE?~ Current members who are kicked out, and then return, do not need to re-apply and will be given their original rank back, UNLESS all the possible slots for that particular rank have been filled in their absence. If this happens, the member in question will be moved to the next highest rank which still has open slots. Whining about losing your high rank due to being too late to prove you are not inactive will not be listened to. ~FINAL NOTE~ We realise this may lead to a drastic drop in members and possibly offending someone. But we cannot have a Clan whose official memberhood is 50% inactive. Better have a small, active clan than a giant dead one. I can only ask you for patience as we wait for Chucklefish to announce that there will be no more character wipes for Starbound. Once we know that our progress will not be erased, the Roleplay, the reason this clan exists, can begin. If you consider waiting for this to happen to be unreasonable, we will understand. It makes complete sense, since inactivity is a huge problem, I joined a couple of days before. And well I expected more activity.

All of this because of people complaining. Even though its a BETA but whatever, im not saying you do, no im just saying they might not wipe anymore.
