I only have 2 mods a bigger costumizable ship and biofuel and the game is on BETA still so im sure they will implement it on full relese. I mean I dont mind putting or not putting mods its a community choise thing but you never know I myself love to build bases and ships whitch at this tage of the game a mode helps a little more, but yet again this is BETA.

 

well the only reason I get mods because after the bosses there's not really much difficulty to leveling to impervium or fun
