Closed Tentacle Trees

Not a bug, per se, unless it wasn't intended this way, but it just feels sort of odd chopping down tentacles and collecting wood, instead. Shouldn't we get tentacles, like the raw ones we can cook, similar to flesh stalks in flesh biomes? Might turn into a food exploit, but it's just sort of strange getting wood from something very obviously fleshy.

 

I'm failing to see how this is the games fault.

 

I think it has more to do about immersion than actual bug.
Of course, the tentacle trees might be lesser eldrich horros( like chuthulu and Azathoth) which have bodies made of wood.
