So, I wanted to add a Glitch Royalty Tenant to my colony, and built a tower and filled it up.

so its not ALL Glitch Castle. Theres an avian couch there for them to sit on, mostly for looks.

But every time i placed the deed i got... an Avian guard?

I'm really baffled as to why the Avian chair overrides EVERYTHING and gives me an avian guard when everything else in the building has the glitch castle tag. The only things lacking the Glitch Castle tag in there to my knowledge are the torches, plate and bowl on the table, and the Avian Chair.

Is the wooden armchair really that high priority that it overrides the Glitch castle stuff?

I eventually got the lady on the bottom right there by removing the armchair.

Its just very very strange to me. Is there something i'm missing?

I'm not sure how it works, but when I have this problem I do the same you did: just remove the chair or furniture that is messing things up.

But it is strange, because you have a lot of glitch furniture.

That was the solution for me in the end, but this is still very bizarre.

ummm.. the glitch piece of armor is the problem, as that will get you a guard. weapon crates are not the only things that net you a guard. Combat oriented items tend to net you a guard in the long run. Found that out with the floran colony I am working with; which has a lot of combat oriented items.

Basically I am still learning the system, but have noticed certain small things like what I mentioned above; so I can get actual non-guard population, and specifically put a guard where I want. Also quite a few storage things will net a merchant, namely crates with a few exceptions. Shelves would be merchant.

Some make quite a bit of sense as to why if you look at each item and think of what it resembles, so a bit of common sense I guess. Although not all common sense works, but often does. At least with what we would associate certain objects with.

Still trying to figure out on my own how to get certain floran NPC types; without using wiki or other sources. Like trying to figure it out myself, makes registering it in mind a lot better as a natural reaction. At least for me.:nuruhappy:
