    I don't know...

I won't be working in this office any longer. I will be outsourced to one of our clients. That's because the company itself currently has no use for me, but don't want to cut me loose just yet.

    Just find your situation unfortunate.

Having to train your replacement because they'll do cheaper.

I come home angry because my day was shit, I get a bit short with my parents and apologize, they berate me, I go into my room so I can calm down.

My father quips "oh now you're just going to your room to pout"
    ...
Happy thoughts, think happ- THE FUCK DID YOU JUST SAY?!

Yeah, my anger issues are definitely work-related. Just sitting at my desk and staring at the computer screen makes me want to flip the table. I didn't even start working and I am already having that gut feeling.

It really sounds like you guys need better jobs. Which has probably been said a bajillion times and adds nothing substantial to the conversation.

Yeah. Tell me about it. I was briefed on my next assignment earlier today. I am to break down barriers and make our client see that outsourcing their development to us is a great decision, despite their previous experience with third party developers. Which is to say I am to salvage their project (that was handled by said previous third party) and prospect new ones. All of that in three months.

Right... because I am such a charmer, am I right?

Well, I am on my way back 'home'. My parents insisted I visited them in my hometown since it is my father's birthday and I didn't visit them during my days off.
Why am I posting this here? Because once again I feel that same impulse to go berserk inside me, as I sit in the airport bench. So you can guess that this visit is causing me distress too...

But is it causing you distress simply because it's distracting you from work, which you see as something ridiculously overbearing? Or does it have something to do with your family? Or is it just that you just found out you'll be doing more work and then this happened and now you have even more stuff to worry about?

    All of the above?
Honestly, I just came here to visit my old mates from college. Which I just did, so now I just have to suffer through the rest of the trip. My family just needed an extra pair of hands in preparation for my father's birthday party, which is country-themed (Sorry, but I hate country. Only exception being Johnny Cash). And they just keep calling me by my brother's name. Business as usual as far as I'm aware of.

Thankfully, I'll be back home before long, so it's not so bad.

Well I've been talking a lot with someone who's come to be a good friend of mine, very troubled with outright demonic parents (able to explain away anything so calling the police doesn't work) who have humiliated him in various ways and hate him for existing. Despite this constant abuse he has held on to the good nature in him, he lives in a world where no one accepts him but some random guy in another country who listens to his troubles and offers sound advice where possible.

Today he told me that I am the only person who cares about him and that he feels me to be a big brother to him.

Oh my gosh it feels so good to know that I made a difference, make his hellish life bearable. I'm in tears, tears of joy.

    ^~^

Sorry to hear about another one whose parents loathe their existence. But good on you for helping him like that.

Well, it is funny how sometimes life comes full circle, like karmic feedback. This time I was the one to walk away in the middle of my father's birthday for work reasons.

On a side note, you were right @Kashmir. My ex was sighted strolling around the park near my old home (far from hers) while holding hands with another guy, four months ago. Two months before she pestered my mates about helping her make up with me .
Not that I expected anything different, or at all for that matter. I didn't even ask about her. People just decided to let me know, and I shruged.

    Welp, time to fly. Ciao.
