Tech Items picture!

Holy crap, does this mean we'll be able to craft items that alter how the player interacts with game mechanics?

If so, that is AWESOME.

 

Yeah. Tech. Like Accessories in Terraria. Although if I'm right I think Tiy said we had to FIND them, now craft them.

 

Bleh, I still like the idea of some sort of active research system where you get objectives you have to go research and if you succeed at getting a good sample you can get different stuff based on what you researched.

That being said, I don't remember Terraria actually having much if anything comparable to what we're seeing here. That's an item that *actively turns water into ice as you walk on it.* If this is just one out of many types of items that interact with gameplay mechanics, I could see this game's replay value explode to something even larger than it's already bound to be. Imagine for instance, an item that gives you an armored shell that can take several hits for you if you tunnel through walls with certain materials in them, or items that interacted with combat mechanics such as a pair of boots that lets you goomba stomp across multiple enemies Mario style. Stuff like that is cool, because you can play through the game doing everything one way, then turn around and do it again a completely different way.

 

Why is it called the 'Happy Cube' ?
Since it makes ice, shouldn't it be called the 'Ice Cube'.
Or is that too confusing with drinks?

 

I really wonder what the handheld gaming system does.

 

Oh, it's a mini game within the game...
Tiy has to program that and he is going to take months making it just perfect.

 

If NONE of those items appear in the game in some form, I will be an unhappy camper.
