Tech Chest.

From what I've heard, Techs are consistent, but most other loot isn't. For example, if I gave you the coordinates for a chest where I found an Ocarina, there's no guarantee that you'd even get an instrument from that same chest.

 

I'm not sure why people are automatically assuming that there's a bug or a balance issue here, if you have say 10 techs, making it a 1/10 chance to get any tech, are you saying if it's not bugged you will get a different one next time? say it;s the fourth chest, that's 1/10 for tech A , you open chest two that's 1/10 again or 1/100th third one, same tech, it's 1/1000 etc. right? well, think about this, it is identical odds for you to get A A A A as it is A A A B (both 1/10000) simply because you just got A doesn't mean there's any more or less chance to get the same unless you use (can't remember the math term) the method where you remove the first item, but in this case you always have the same number of possible objects in the chest, sorry it's not a bug it's just bad luck. if you don't believe me take a stats and prob class they should teach it pretty early in the course.

sorry if my math is off for the fractions here, the numbers don't really matter just the idea behind it.

5 high tech chests not far from spawn point. 4 going left in a lab facilities, 3 in small facilities, one in large facility with mobs.. One going right in a lab facility. Well I guess if you keep going right or left you'll hit them all..
