Thank you guys for betting a game that attracts a great community, and looks like a great game!

 

Tiy did amazing graphics for Terraria, and look at him! He went on to make his own company and game, he's even published a game to help it on to steam. A big huzzah to Chucklefish, they truly deserve it.

 

I am resurrecting this because so many new thank you threads are being created. Arise and serve once again noble thread. Thank you chucklefish for vita, and hard work.

Behold, one day the disciples did plan a glorious game. Then, by righteous development did they write code to put forth their idea and present it to the masses. Yea verily do we await the fruits of their labor. That much time shall be wasted in the name of the one true side scrolling platforming sandbox game. Thy will be done. Thy loots be collected and thy planets terraformed. Though I may walk through the valley of the shadow of monsters. I shall fear no evil for my plasma rocket launcher machine gun with added bayonet is with me.

Chucklefish is awesome, and starbound is awesome. That is all.

 

This thread has only 7 pages, while the release date threads are flooded. Let's change that.

Chucklefish has completely changed the way that devs communicate with their community by giving daily updates about progress, and as an aspiring developer, this is the coolest free gift any game company can give. This game looks amazing and my money on it has already been well spent. Thanks for everything you guys do and don't listen to the haters!

 

I really like how all the stills in starbound are really high-grade desktop background-quality pictures. The background sky with the planets and stars are just amazing. I really don't know if I like the day shots better or the night ones.

 

Chucklefish - myself and all my lab things love you!

 

I've followed quite a few fledgling games over the years, and by far Chucklefish are the most responsive devs to the community I have ever seen. I can't believe it when I see complaints about timelines when you guys update (almost) every day. So much love.

Also: I think what you are creating here is a thing of beauty. I think Starbound will be remembered and references by gamers for a long time to come.

Thanks for making this game. Even when I don't have the beta yet, I can see and feel just watching the streams that it will be awesome.
And of course thanks for participating and talking with the community. We from #starbound and /r/starbound appreciate it a lot.
Also, it's good that you post things telling us where the game stands right now. I'm sure a lot of people don't go to sleep until they read a daily, me included. Thanks!
I want to say thank you again for all your hard work. I know a lot of stress and people pushing you to release the beta are no goods, but that's what you get when you have a big project and a work so well done like yours that you all have been doing for so long.

I will not forget to say thank you (again) for saving that little cat in the tree here in Brazil near my place. You bring good to the neighborhood.
Also thank you for bringing peace on Earth. Now people are happy, and there's no more need for fights.
Chucklefish! Thank you for uniting the people of our planet together! Now there's no more boundaries for science, love, even religion!
Many a thanks too for you for bringing peaceful space beings to enlighten us. Now Earth can finally start to bring it's legacy to other races within our reach.
You did it, Chuclefish. You were the first that managed to travel faster than light. Now our race is well known for bring the first ones that could travel at a ChuckleSpeed, a speed faster than light that was named to our true and only overlord.
Also, myself from the distante future is telling me to say thank you for saving the universe in what he is calling a "Mirrored Bing Bang in Auto-F*ck Reverse", I really don't know what that means, but I think you saved the entire Universe somehow. So... Thanks in advance from me of the presente.

To keep it short, I just wanted to say thank you for your hard work, for this awesome game, and the many more things you will bring to us (I hope) in the near and distant future.

I have never followed any games progress in my 30 years of gaming until now (since last Sept)... and I love it! Thank you for creating excitement for games in me again, in a world of tons of mediocre re-hashes. Creating something of this magnitude with the size crew you have seems rare to me. Also, thanks for involving us in everything from ideas being implemented in the game, to giving us DAILY updates. Daily? How many companies do this? I would go on but I don't have the time at the moment. Thank you again and God bless all of you! (and a double rainbow)

Tiy is one of the coolest guys I know. He's always there to sit and talk to me about the things going on in my life, no matter how busy he himself is with work.
He is a great supporter of other Indie Devs as a whole.

Chucklefish is full of wonderful people!
Suffice to say, I am jealous. Wish my workplace was that cool.

 

Dear Chacklefoosh.

I have no words, no, not even a peep to describe how thankful I am for everyone's hard work over on the Starbound team. You guys are working sun and moon to get this game into beta and into our greedy, grubby palms, and you guys aren't getting the appreciation you deserve. On behalf of the ENTIRE Starbound community, deadbeats and fanboys/girls alike; thank you, all of you, for creating this amazing game. I will stand resolutely for this game, believe me! You guys are working your hardest to improve upon and make this game playable for us. You're such a small group of people, and you're creating a whole damn game out of scratch. I don't think people around here can fully appreciate the amount of hard work you people are putting into this game. I respect all of you for that, knowing that I could never work this long without a break.

Come to think of it, I did have a few words to describe my thankfulness, huh?
What else is there to say? I can only hope that in the future, I will become an amazing Starbound player. I anticipate this game to the fullest, and by god I will stick with it, like I said before!

Keep up all the amazing work guys. When the day finally comes, you will be able to rest for days!
