Vanilla (No Mods) Tartarus Realms 24/7 [Legacy Server] Friendly, protected!/claim world!

It's a Pokemon. I asked in chat the other day if anybody wanted one, and ended up giving one to Pixel's roommate.

Is anyone able to update the picture for the server on gametracker? Someone should put up a picture of our actual spawn rather than whatever it is now. Unless that's the like, stock image for Starbound.

I had fun for a little while the other night on this server, once I removed my Firefly ship mod. The standard ship is so teeny!

 

Server's back up. Let me know if it goes down again, teamspeak is the quickest way to do that since I'm always in there.

 

Server is looking better and better , now that we have some regulars and not that many players is alot more stable

Also: Server is back up, sorry for the unusually long down time, I was out eating.

 

The ban was only for an hour, but you shouldn't be stealing in the first place, and then trying to trade it to the people you stole it from, and then refusing to return it repeatedly until being threatened with a ban by a moderator.


Also, server is currently DOWN (failing with Wrong Version error) as of 17:20 BST.

People on teamspeak are telling me it's up... Was there an update? Did you guys try restarting your client?

 

Its just server error, needs to be restarted I think. There was no update.

It was doing weird things, because the server was still running. I had to wait for it to crash. Now it's back up.

 

Sounds like the server hung up instead of outright crashing - but it's crashed again as of 21:40 BST (10 Feb)

I was talking with Sinlah earlier today about this and i'm looking into making a simple script for linux server users so manual intervention isn't required quite so - so if the server crashes completely then the script should be able to automagically restart it.

 

Server scrip has been made and automated restarts should be working fine now

 

Hi all, I'm your new friendly network engineer for Tartarus Realms!

The server has had a new script installed - When it crashes, it will restart itself up to 5 minutes later.

Please *DISABLE* all mods before joining our server, as these will prevent crashes and increase uptime.

 

How do you disable mods?
Seems like a cool feature.

You'll have to move them outside your mods folder for now, until a patch is made to disable them when required.

Note to everyone who is playing on Tartarusrealms starbound. If the server crashes, it will no longer be down forever. The server console now checks to see if the server is up and running every 5 minutes. If it is not, it will auto start. You no longer have to worry about wondering "when the server will be up!" Again. Granted there will still be the spontaneous server crashes, You can use the 5 minutes of it being down to take a break and take a leak or grab a cold one, then jump right back to your adventures.
