eons ago a professor with knowledge of future technology built a machine, which will either be able to create great things, or if in the wrong hands create the worst thing imaginable, many people found blueprints, research notes, and models of this machine, but no one has ever been able to build another one, but you, you found a great lab with coordinates to this machine! it is on a space station, near the sun, where no one would look, it is guarded by automated Frigates, battleships, turrets, and robots (not glitches) if you can take out these things, the machine is yours to use, you can make whatever you want, but when you make it there, you discover a research team, which built the great machine, they are ready to activate it, but were waiting years for someone to find it, they survived with a cloning machine, which can make copies of food, people, and anything else, but they have designed it to never duplicate the machine, they activate the machine, and tell you to build ANYTHING you want, put it in an open area and insert blueprints into the slot, no items required, but it may take days to complete (5-7 game days) they then said, the planet you found the coordinates on was built by the machine, they then load the great machine onto your ship, they deactivate the defenses, and let you leave.
So you waltz up to a heavily defended base, that has been as such for many many years, and they give you the power to make or break the universe? That's what you call poor planning. Also, this machine that lets you build what you want as long as you have blueprints? That's exactly the same as the 3D printer, which is one of the main items in the game. That's why the currency is Pixels, it's the fuel needed to use it.
I believe that it would be an endgame tier item which would make other endgame tier items. Due to the series of ships you have to kill/board & deactivate.
Mmmm. But wouldn't they essentially do the same things? I'm assuming that the 3D printer can, in fact, make copies of everything that you can breakdown into a blueprint.
Yes in that terms it is the same but the 3d printer is more currency based but the machine would either be less costly but take longer to make them. (i guess)
Planet forging, eh? Like, you start off with a dead planet and go in and terraform the shit out of it? Or just manage to pull mass from somewhere (some kind of alchemy?) and use it to construct the planet from new? OHOHOHOH Maybe we could pull a Titan A.E. and drive a massive spherical ship into an ice nebula and use the mass there-in, and lazohrs, to build a planet. So any randomly generated ice nebulas can be used as planet foundations.
something like this . turning into this _________ ( ----------) ------------ like a tiny rock too a huge-ass planet (maybe a machine planet)
