Swords or Guns?

Attaching a Bayonet to my beam rifle sounds nice.

What happens when you stab and shoot someone with it at the same time?

 

I'd use both, but my love for spear-like weapons are greater than my love for ranged weapons. Unless it's an orbital strike. Then I'd forever use orbital strike. No need to explore if there's nothing to explore!

That's the only family-friendly part of that line I can quote.

I second bayonets. Nothing like a good-ol' bayonet charge at dawn to put the willies up the enemy, apparently.

 

So many people are choosing the non-existant option of a hybrid weapon: both gun and sword.
Remember, gun or sword, duel wielding of both weapons is discluded. The question still remains, Out of the two, which on do you prefer, Guns or Swords.

 

Well it really depends on the situation. The non-existent hybrid option tries to cover all bases - much like the reason we still have bayonets in today's military. There's the psychological effect of a man hurtling at you with a great big knife on the end of his gun, plus the obvious use when your weapon malfunctions, you run out of ammo, the baddies get up close, or you need to make sandwiches.

It's a tough call, but I'd go with guns if pushed, even though can't use to make sarnies.
