Swords or Guns?

Why not carry both?

 

I know right?
The OP asked if we could only choose one, but if possible I would definitely carry both, just like I do in Terraria and The Secret World.

 

Or we could carry both in one weapon, such as in Epic Battle Fantasy

 

Mostly badass overpowered sniper rifles.
Sometimes swords when someone gets too close.

 

Yeah! I would kill for Lightning's Gunblade!

 

Gunblades from Phantasy Star (or Final Fantasy, if you prefer that reference).
Would work in this game if you had to crouch-attack to shoot, and just attack normally for melee attacks.

 

Just so people know, it probably will be possible to use both in the game, seen as you can assign a different thing to each hand and use the mouse to attack with them. This post is merely to find out what people prefer before they get to play the game, I was thinking I should of called this post "Melee Weapons or Projectile weapons" that way it would include any type, from fists to Chainsaws to Handguns and Nukes.

 

When I'm home alone I like to pretend I'm Ichigo from Bleach. I'll run around swinging a broom (Zanpakutō) in my hand like a mad man while simultaneously screaming and jumping over furniture. I'm going to have to go with a sword.

 

I like me a dual wield of daggers myself for getting up close and personal well more of a parrying kind of guy.

 

As you have mentioned before, the gun is quick and lethal, but you have marked it as a "lazy" weapon; that's not the only reason,
would a swordsman or a marksman win a battle between each other with their respective weapons?
It ALSO takes a lot of skill and discipline to master a firearm, you must go through years of training to wield a sniper rifle properly.

I have to disagree, the same relationship can be applied to a marksman and his gun.

 

This, just instead of a sword it would be more of a long dagger/short sword, or a Desert Eagle (They have those in the future guys, right? Guys? Right?)

 

I change my answer. I want to be a assault marine from 40k. Chainsword and bolt pistol.

 

Skyrim focused mainly on sword play, and fallout usually focused on gun slinging. I prefer fallout over skyrim, which must mean I prefer guns over sword.

 

Very tough decision, I love both... I'ma have to go with guns.

 

Swords are great for backstabbing... Guns are great for headshots... WHY IT'S SO DIFFICULT TO CHOOSE!?

 

Swords for style like the Chainsaw Katana but guns for quick killing.

 

I'd go for a massive broadsword. One that can be used for blocking when the gun spammers are near.

 

Guns, because I always had a thing for Han Solo. :b

Also, I've always enjoyed the idea of kiting with a ranged weapon in just about any game that I play, if its viable.

 

Use gun, and if doesnt work, use more gun engineer logic.

Don't you know that the answer is to always use more gun? Except in those cases for when "sometimes you just need a little less gun".
