Swords or Guns?

lol geez, thank goodness rocket launchers are recoiless weapon, youd throw yourself backward shooting that otherwise

 

Haha there has been some good debates so far
But keep in mind this is merely a preference thread, not a "Why not both?" or a "I would hold a gun in one hand a sword in the other." This does not have to apply to what you would do ingame, it is simply, What do you prefer, a Gun or a Sword.

 

I was never much for swords because in terraria I always used the laser rifle or some other magical ranged weapon so definately guns for me!

 

How about both?

I really like tanking damage in most games; that means a really cool -- and really large -- sword. But Starbound's guns have been calling me for far too long and I really would like a sniper rifle-ish laser gun thing. Rocket launchers look pretty boss as well, even though they're not generally my forte.

Unless Starbound amazes me and shows me my precious Photon Axe, then expect to not see me while I snipe some heads.

I prefer melee, makes the battle more personal.
And i want feel the blood of my enemy on my blade. And see the fear in their face before i slice it in half.

 

Not quite, needs to be bigger.

 

Give me my scoped minigun flamethrower and I will be happy.

 

Why would I want to slice somebody in half when I can just SHOTGUN HIS HEAD OFF!
