    No problem.

Incidentally, a number of people are having a related issue when trying to drop items - looks like they need to apply your suggestion to that too until you can implement a better way to drop items?

For example, what happens and the workaround:

"hmmmm, dropping items in stardew valley worked (and still works) like this:

Pick up item in inventory screen, move cursor outside of inventory -> tap (A) to drop.
That'll drop the item without deleting it.

The issue is that, by default "use controller-style menus" is turned on which makes you unable to use the cursor freely, but rather have it snap to individual item slots or buttons.

Now add the fact hat there doesn't seem to be a "button" that represents 'outside of inventory', at least i haven't found one yet.

So with "use controller-style menus" turned off, you'll have a freely moving cursor. Something i'd recommend doing anyways, since i see no downside - you can still navigate your backpack with the shoulder buttons.
I believe that's how i played it on PS4, since i was most certainly able to drop items temporarily (like drop a piece of ore, pick up a mushroom, eat said mushroom, pick up the ore again)"

"Not sure if this is a bug but it seems like the game can’t distinguish between simple “A” button behavior and when you’re using the right joystick to use the cursor/mouse. If I’m standing too close to a person or object that I can interact with with “A” then it completely ignores what I was trying to do with the movement of right joystick, cursor appears and then if you hit a the position of the cursor resets and you end up talking to the person instead. (Sometimes I use the mouse to click on the (!) mark in the upper right corner) workaround: just use the shortcut key for Journey."

"Other than the crackling, when I process geodes quickly, it'll skip the first item Recieved occasionally, and the sleep in bed hit box is wonky.

Edit: and if you have an item selected while in the community center bundle placement, it occasionally replaces bundles names with item name."

        another report of this:

"In the Community Center when you're looking at the bundles, after clicking on a bundle it'll say the name of the thing selected in your inventory instead of the bundle's name, in my case I saw all the fish bundles as "Anchovy".

I tested it and it can happen with any bundle and item."

Here is a screenshot of the problem:

Edit: it seems that this also happens in the crafting menu sometimes with craftables names being replaced with item names.

        and:

"I have a bug to report.

This is an example of what happens when you open a bundle at the community center:

          • Walk to pantry or whatever
          • Open an unfinished bundle
          • Move cursor over an item in the inventory, so that it's description box opens
          • Press B to go back to bundles menu
          • Cursor will continue to have description box of the last item that it hovered over, even when moving it over another unfinished bundle box
It does the same thing whether or not you have the controller-style menu box selected."

        this one may be related:

"I cant complete a bundle i have the things that are asked for but I can't place them"

        https://www.reddit.com/r/NintendoSw...stardew_valley_bug_report_megathread/do1swx5/

        and another:

"After looking at the bundle requirements in the old community center, sometimes items from the inventory become the names of the bundles."

"So I went to use the TV and accidentally pressed the wrong button and picked it up. Now I can't put it back where it was in the corner. It says "Can't place on top of a person" unless I put it in the middle of the room.."

"It looks like I can't place any furniture unless I'm facing South? Which is really annoying because I can't get anything back against the wall anymore...."

If you're posting multiple details about the same bug it may be helpful to edit into a previous post instead of multiple postings. Just to keep things readable for everyone and the thread size from getting out of hand.

Do appreciate you looking all over for details on these though, great job
