Bug/Issue [Switch] Fiberglass Rod Freeze

I had just bought the Fiberglass Rod and when I used it I thought it wasn't using an animation or something because the player sprite would still face forward, but there was also an animated instance casting and fishing that was underneath this double. I figured it would be fine I'll just go sleep and maybe it'll fix it but as I went I hit the action button over ground and on the draw back animation the Sprite froze, the second copy stayed on screen, and I had no controls other than to toggle the Journal and chat log with the right stick. I decided to take the day as a loss and rebooted it but now I'm afraid to buy the rod...
