Hello comunity, Actually we can put lights everywhere, control doors and some other stuff with switchs and even combine signal with AND and OR etc... BUT we can't turn on and off a simple light. What could be good is to allow players to link switchs to a light. Is this subject allready discuss ? I haven't see anything by doing a search on the forum.
Hmm... That is true. I don't think anyone has really noticed that before. I think that it could be a secret feature for only some lights, not the Cheap Light, Torches, etc. Only the ones that make sense.
Only technological lights, such as fluorescent or ship lights, should have this ability. And yes, I noticed it, and it's severely lacking. Imagine setting up a base or a dungeon that is initially dark, and then when you walk into the room (and step on a hidden switch), all of a sudden (and through some behind-the-scenes switch/gate wizardry) the lights flicker on, with a bang as the breakers turn on, and you're staring down a long and now dimly lit hallway. To where? Let's find out!
You know, what if they made the linking mechanic similar to the game "Gunpoint"? That would be so cool on so many levels!
Gunpoint's Crosslink was an amazing device, and it would be cool to have something like that. Then, there wouldn't need to be many complicated "This is input, that's output, you have to link through them, etc".
