If you swapped one race from Starbound with that of another game, how well would it fit in terms of the new universe for the two races?

Floran [Starbound] <-> Argonian [Elder Scrolls]

I always felt that the Floran could be perfectly swapped with the Argonian from the Elder Scrolls, as they are people who barbaric and thieves for their kind it would be perfect for them be a thief role in the Elder Scrolls along with the murderous personality that they have it would be perfect blend of fun for the Dark Brotherhood. I can easily picture them living in the cold climates of Skyrim and the Wet conditions of Vvardenfell, murdering and butchering the competition and stealing countless wares from others.
Let me guessss, ssomeone ssstole your sssweetroll.

On the other hand, the Argonian would kinda fit inside Starbound as they will be the rude antagonistic people that they are, and unlike that of the Floran, make a friend of the Hylotl since they too are of that of aquatic nature like the Argonian. I can see an Argonian ship be that of a gigantic lizard or that of a underwater home of the Black Marsh (what that may be).

Argonian: mystical, tight-lipped weird people with funny accents. Think Injuin, but with more tree symbolism. Also even if they fight, they usually fight indirectly, ur-example is Knahaten Flu. And they certainly have some weird stuff in their Black March: they and also Dunmer (one of the most powerful battlemage races) were the only ones from whom daedra during Oblivion crisis fled away and locked the gates behind them.
Floran: maneating plant-people, which, I guess, try to be vaguely African? Amazonian? I don't even get what they're supposed to be, you can look at them either like at Yautja (honorable hunter race, which believes that by hunting the worthy prey they become worthy themselves) or like Orks (guys with weird biology who love and thrive in fighting being literaly a biological killing machines, less actively malicious and more not understanding that other don't like fighting as much as they do).

That's a really far-fetched comparison you made right there. And also, why Skyrim and Morrowind? I think marches of Daggerfall would fit better, just as tropical Summerset Isles and Elsweir jungle, and Valenwood seems like a match made in heaven (lots of great beasts to hunt, check. God, which endorses carnivores to the point of cannibalism and severely punishes harming plants, check. Wood Elves nearby, who actually has really similiar mentality, check).

I'm a bit iffy on the bear(-ish) mining vendor's race at the outpost. It feels too much real-bear and not enough science-fantasy space race to me.
So I'd rather have them be more Bulrathi-like, a similar but rather different race of ursine origin from the Master Of Orion games. That would even make it possible to keep the shop's name as is, because the race's homeworld is aptly titled "Ursa".
It's a minor gripe with the aesthetic of the Ursa Miner crew, but nonetheless fitting for the topic.

I'm not sure if it counts as a race but...

    Zombies instead of hylotal!

Imagine.you go on a ocean planet and a bunch of bodies cling on too you!

In zombie games giant fish would be a nice change

I would replace Hylotl with Tau from Warhammer 40k. The two are mostly the same, and it would be so enjoyable to crush Floran underfoot in a XV8 Crisis Battlesuit.

Avians and the Protoss from StarCraft.
Both are centralized by a religious code.
They reeeeeeeaally like shiny crystal structures and items.. Pylons.
Have 2 sets of their own race that often pits them against each other. (Khaldarin/Regular Templar Protoss and Dark Templar. Kluex Worshippers and what I call the "Clipped")
    Proficiency in energy related weaponry.

Avians and Chozo (from the Metroid series)

Both are bird-like humanoids who use a fair bit of tech that just isn't well comprehended by the others. They had a bit different of goals in mind, but I can spot a few similarities otherwise.

It's remarkably easy to do Star Fox though, I'd previously posted my attempt here on a mod thread:
