I have an idea that could support Starbound but will cross a few peoples moral lines. I'm fairly certain there are plenty of people with steam accounts who would like to buy wanderlust to help support the game, but are broke/unemployed/etc and have no birthday anytime soon, so they can not ask for the game as a gift. I am also slightly certain there is a small amount of people who have money and would enjoy supporting the game more, but don't want to make extra accounts because that seems a waste. There may even be a few who accidently wound up with extra codes. I am proposing a meeting place for that. All that would be needed is that a person without wanderlust post saying they don't have it, then come back and say they have it now if someone secretly gifts it to them. People willing to share that they can give out copies are welcome to post, but it is understandable that they may wish to remain Anonymous. Of course, throwing up gift codes is always welcome to make a sort of "competition", as well as any other ideas you may have. well when I get my money for doing what some people might consider a job but I consider Mindless Labor I can give out one copy to you. at the end of this week I will pm my steam name somehow (I dont like to put it out on forums).
I guess that would be good, But I have a suspicious feeling more people WITHOUT the game would be coming here than people with extras...
That is sort of what I expected, but so long as someone else gets a copy I have accomplished one of my main goals. This topic is entirely meant to help anyone at all, I don't expect everyone who posts here to get a copy, and they shouldn't post here expecting a guaranteed free copy. The major main goal here is to support development of Starbound.
well so far there has been one person with extras and one person needing a free copy (me and amh7912) and I just sent him his copy. so thats a 1 to 1 ratio right now. Victory.

I will still be keeping up a list for any more, but it looks like no one is interested besides one person who is going to try getting his parents help, he will get back to me tommorow. I just had a genius plan! Amh, you know that I'm making a game, and selling it to support starbound, right? Well, if the Devs don't take my deal to go straight to a split profit thing, then I might use half the profit to purchase Wanderlust copies for people, and then I'm STILL supporting Starbound, but I'm also helping a bunch of people get the game! Not a sure thing through a number of factors, but it's possible.

Sounds great. It would help anyone buying it for you if you included your steam name though, or (if you can buy people it on their website or however that works) your name on wanderlusts site.

Would anyone like it if I kept a tally of the people who have received copies from this? I won't include sponsors so they don't get harassed, unless they say they want to be listed. I don't feel like including the list of people who got the game. It seems kind of pointless, at least as of yet. I might put it in spoilers if it gets incredibly high.
you can put up the tally if you like im not gonna stop you though truth be told im just happy you took the time outta your busy schedule to set up this list system in the 1st place and whether i get sponsored or not i would like to say thank you for setting up the list system.
I figure it's the least I can do, unless I can get a job before Starbound comes out. Whenever I do get a job know that I will be dropping a code or two for this game or starbound if the games already out then. (unless its a REALLY low paying job and i need every cent for food/car stuff)
Really wish I had good news, like a job. Or a code someone had told me some competition for. Instead I can only say that I started volunteering at my church, which aside from volunteering might help me get a job, and gain some skills relating to presentations.
