Notice Supporting Starbound

I would laugh if it turned out to be edge of space, which I doubt....although, one way to stop something from being a competitor is to make a beneficial partnership of support.

 

Awesome, really looking forward to that.

However, if you want another way of allowing people to support you guys, it's simple.

1) Become a Youtube Partner.
2) Release a Starbound Gameplay video with ads.
3) ???
4) Donations

If everyone is like me, I'm sure you'll be getting a lot of support from the thousands of views you'd get from a single person.

Just kidding of course, there's no rush for a Starbound video.

 

I, for one, am delighted to hear the confirmation of Fishy Rain.

 

It's an awesome idea!
But you can also make a donation thingie that whoever donates, for example 1 dollar or more, gets a small bonus when the game comes out: Something like a vanity item or a title to his character...

 

Then why would anyone not donate the extra dollar? They don't have to bait us for money, and it isn't fair to give us special things over people who don't know about the game yet.

Before making suggestions, people really need to try and understand the stance of the group they are pitching to.

This sounds like a great idea. I like what I have seen of the game so far and would definitely like to feel as though I am making a contribution to the development!

I think that overall it is a good way to gather (let's say) necessary funds (if any) in order to produce, develop, or provide necessary funds for other types of game development. The only issue I would concern would be handing out card numbers and such, (not that we/ I don't trust the Starbound Team) but initially this shouldn't be a very cautious concern, regarding that people use their money in any way they want. I don't believe it's been announced yet. There will probably be a newspost on playstarbound.com when they've announced it.

the idea seems perfect every one wins. the developers of the UN-known game get more profit. the developers of starbound are supported and we get a game in return. Awesome.

i would have absolutely not the slightest problem with donating. You guys are working your space butts off to make an amazing game for the community. Turnabout is fair good developers!
