Please don't post repeatedly as a double and triple post. Especially non-content like what you posted. There are some people around here, who would jump out of the ceiling above you and hit you with a boxed copy of star bound for that -.-

Here's a little question: is there a sponsorship thing? I did try to find something about it but na, nothing.

Because, since I discovered the game few days ago, I started to talk about it all around me & now 3 friends bought it. I'm not expecting high rewards or somehting, but a badge or something would be nice, no? :)

We all have talked about starbound or psot it somewhere else... so doesn't mean you get a badge or anything, and as far as i know there's no such thing as a badge for it

i don't completely trust steam, although you can buy games for cheap it still has a bad reputation for all the glitches that they don't fix and the many problems that can come up when you buy or use a game from them.

  11. Spirittis

    Spirittis Phantasmal Quasar

I guess you don't use it. Otherwise you won't be complaining about glitches. Not only me, but many friends of mine have been using Steam for ages and I can ensure it's completely safe. When it comes to Steam itself, I haven't encountered serious glitch that didn't get fixed immediately. Bugs and glitches in games that are not from VALVe (creator of Steam) have to be fixed by their own developers. And I won't say that 5 milion of daily users is a bad reputation.

Same problem here :D I won't mind if they implemented referrals. Actually I'm going to write about this in suggestion section now (in case it's not already there).

There's a badge for tweeting about the game. It's at the bottom of the pre-order page.

Also steam is the main platform for publishing PC games that's why on most games from big publishers have a steam logo at the end of their commercials next to other platform logos and such and same as Spirittis said the developers of the game have to fix the bugs they just sell the games its like going down to target buying Bioshock or something and blaming them for the bugs

I've had Steam since 2003 and they've never "taken my games away" or any of this paranoid crap people keep spouting.

If it weren't for Steam sales, I wouldn't be able to buy PC games as much as I do. I can't remember the last time I paid retail price for a game.

I think in support to Starbound direct is better than supporting other games for a %, because you guys ( at starbound ) would fouce all your energy and hire people as full time, like you have had said in the past in a post. i agree that supporting one game and not another game and a % goes to you guys at starbound, however in supporting of another game is going to take time out of this game, but i understand that companys as they make a game there are one more or two games being in development as well... all in all i am in support for Starbound.:viking:

Don't tell me. Did you knew that (game) taxation in France was quite higher than in most countries ...at least for all the big, international crap ? take the Assassin's creed series for instance : each game was originally released around...say... 60 € (~ $80 USD). And that's for the PC version, add another $12 for the released console versions... Fortunately the steam sales allow us to get hits at lower prices, otherwise our gamer wallets would suicide !

That said, the Starbound pixel pack is quite affordable for now, which is great, but I suspect it would largely rise up on steam release.

No, I doubt it, Terraria'a still only $9.99 on Steam as well as a large number of other Indie games are also very affordable. :DD

Say, my personnal skillset is languages, is there a way I can help the devs with that? Like translating everything in french?

  20. Zephiron

Translating is almost a full-time job. Your proposition is really appreciated, but I doubt standing out of the row to "translate everything" at the moment would be a good idea, for it would retard ongoing development as new stuff comes along. Fanmade/official translation updates will surely come post-release anyways, so you could contribute to them, then. A ce moment là, bon courage à toi ;)
