bump Joined forums just to see if people were requesting remapping keybindings as a feature. It will make a huge difference to various people's play styles, and I hope it does get implemented in the release version.
Reminds me of playing Witcher2. You can remap attacking and movement binds but not interface stuff like inventory. I can cope with Starbound for now but in Witcher2 it was infuriating for some reason I don't really remember. Did not play past tutorial much at all... As for now try using AutoHotkey programm. Google it, it's free.
Not really inconvenienced by the lack of keybinding myself, but friends are; it would be nice to see! Even if it's just something as basic as a .cfg file to edit.
As a man with partial paralysis of one hand, I would like to ask about the possibility of assigning additional mouse buttons, assign a mouse button 3 to jump , and 4 ,5 to the direction it possible to fight using only the mouse, making it easier to gameplay for me. Few game developers allows such a solution and would like it was often used.
I Agree The GUI is the first thing the user sees and the only thing they use the most, I would love to see a shortcut key binding for Beaming up to your ship instead of having to click the little button on the top right. Many people have said they wont play this game because of the controls, while I am right handed i Find the "Inventory is I" to be very annoying and inconvenient.
Even if this isn't implemented any time soon, I for one would like to see "Q" not set as the default "toss object" key. I can't count how many times I've randomly lost a nice legendary or rare item because of a stray "Q" tap while moving with WASD.
You are aware that this has been confirmed as being implemented, right? Albeit not at the time the thread was made.
Sort of annoyed this has been posted yet again. it has been confirmed it is coming soon and people should really stop posting more topics on this claiming they thought of it
To be fair, I think this particular thread was made before it was officially announced. But, in regards to newer threads on the same topic, I agree.
I just bought the game. I'm left-handed. Until they get keybinding added, the game is unplayable for me. Come on, guys. It can't be that hard to add.
