Hi guys. I haven't played Starbound in about Six Months apart from yesterday to check if the bug was fixed. Whenever I place The Inactive Robot it tells me to take it to the Planet Surface. I've tried EVERYTHING and it still won't work. Now, I can't progress so I don't have any reason to play the game.
So...moving along... I've had this happen to me before, and I believe there is a "elevation 0" point on the planet's Y axis (core vs sky). Even though you're on the surface of the planet, that part of the surface may be lower than "elevation 0", for example if you're in a canyon or simply a low point. Unfortunately, that means that the item's "safety check" believes you are underground, and won't allow the Inactive Robot to be activated. Try going to a higher point of land (or creating a large tower), and then trying to activate the robot again. Let me know if that works.
Ok. I think I read your tone wrong. I'm used to other forums where ten year old kids say similar things in a "childish" tone like "Then you're doing it wrong."
